Default GOP may never lose Ohio again...

    too-close-to-call state rep race
According to unofficial totals, Landis led O’Farrell 22,622 to 22,365 — or 258 votes. An additional 1,823 provisional ballots remain to be counted by the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections.

The other undecided race is between state Rep. Mike Dovilla, R-Berea, and Democrat Matt Patten.

Ohio Democrats say that if Republicans win both races, the GOP will have a supermajority of 60 seats in the House.

“If Gov. John Kasich has a supermajority, he can more or less put anything on the ballot,” said Jerid Kurtz, spokesman for the Ohio Democratic Party.
If you don't think redistricting isn't top of the plate, divvying up every area to ENSURE a GOP win in 2016... you're dreaming.

The GOP long game is coming to fruition.

Pretty sure Texas tried this and were stymied in the courts. Would have to look up.

Ohio, like the rest of the US, is getting younger and browner. So unless the republicans rethink their messaging, the Dems will always be competitive in states like Ohio...

Well the " young brown people " want more government. They want social services. They expect to be coddled. The message of the GOP Is one of smaller, less intrusive government. It is one of personal responsibility.

I'm not saying that the GOP isn't hypocritical. I'm saying what the message is.

It appears that's the way the country is moving. Trophies for everyone. Student loan debt up to your eyeballs....no worries...you won't be expected to pay it back.

Buy homes you can't afford...no worries...it's not your fault you took out a loan you can't afford.

Get pregnant when you don't even have a job...no worries...SNAP, welfare, cell phones, Medicaid, HUD housing awaits you. If you don't want the kid...no worries...free abortions for all.

Have a cold...no worries...stop by the E/R for free care.

And all of this and more can be yours so long as those making $200k/year start playing by the rules...paying their fair share.

Yes but that is because of the voters rights act which does not apply in Ohio!

How is getting pregnant while not having a job an issue? My wife was unemployed for 2 pregnancies, as she was staying home with our first child. What's with you people?
