Default Obama marks Rosa Parks anniversary with picture of himself

    http://www.examiner.com/article/obam...ure-of-himself

"On Saturday, the White House marked the 57th anniversary of the day Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat by tweeting a picture of Barack Obama sitting in the bus where Parks stood her ground.

"Today is the 57th Anniversary of the day Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat," the White House tweeted."

Well considering Obama's obvious sexual preferences in the past, it sort of fits that he would take on the female spirit of Rosa Parks.

How cool that her bravery helped pave the road for our first black president. Very cool picture! Thanks for sharing, Researcher!

The profound nature of the photograph is lost on the haters. Obama is well aware of the shoulders he stands on. Hard to think of a better tribute to her legacy.

This from the "it's all about me crowd", whose knowledge of history comes from the History channel that they watched between picking up participation awards.

    Really?

Would you like to engage in a serious discussion about racial politics in the south dating from reconstruction until the civil rights era? Would you like to actually talk about the federal government's efforts over the same period to enforce the 14th and 15th amendments to the United States Constitution from the passage of those amendments until the the passage of the Civil Rights bills under LBJ in the mid 1960s? Would you also like to discuss various state government efforts to circumvent those very same amendments during that time?

Where would you like to start?

Or, maybe we should start here.

That’s kind of sad. Rosa Parks was a brave and decent woman. For him to even be on that bus is tantamount to urinating on her grave. Obama is a disgusting piece of dog manure.

Really? Had he been alive at the time, he would have had to ride in the "colored" section. I don't know how they would have handled it had he been a young child and boarded with his mother.

How soon we forget. When I first arrived in Delaware in 1975, just 37 years ago we still had segregated bars, restaurants that went silent and the music stopped when/if (very unlikely) a person of colour walked in, white kids sports teams that would not play against black kids yet alone have them join their team; and a beach town more akin to South Africa where the blacks walked over the bridge at sunrise to work and clean and left by sunset to go back to their homes in totally segregated neighborhoods.

In fact, I was the first to provide a rental inside the City Limits of my town to a black, who was a young female Officer in the USN and was ostracised by many, including my next-door neighbor for doing so.

It would seem to me that some of us have not come very far!

Nice to see that there is still no shortage of petty things to criticize the president over

Surely you don't expect anything more from the particular low-lifes that are spewing said hate. Posting history dictates that you will get more than you fair share of miserable human being posts from that bunch
