    Default Tomlin handshake

    http://nfl.si.com/2012/12/02/mike-to...eelers-ravens/

Harbaugh trying to show some class, Tomlin didn't want any part of it.

Interesting, but I wouldn't think this means anything from either's standpoint. I've seen Harbaugh and Tomlin standing on the field talking before previous games and as far as I know there is no bad blood between them. Probably just a case of Tomlin wanting to get into the locker room with his team after a very improbable win. Both coaches are too successful and too classy to cause any issues after the game.

Class? USA portrays it as arrogance on Harbaugh's part (the exact phrase used was "petulant child"). I guess maybe it all depends on one's perspective, doesn't it?

Unless I hear otherwise, it's just the media trying to make controversy out of nothing.

I've seen Tomlin act rather arrogant & childish on the field after wins in Baltimore, and I've seen Harbaugh act rather arrogant & childish on the field after wins in Pittsburgh. I sort of think the two of them are very similar people.

Chris Chase...that is not surprising. Writes garbage daily at yahoo. Don't give him the time of day. Read comments on almost anything he writes, people hate him and they have for a long time-for good reason. He's got a reputation as an ignorant-dbag who will write anything anything to get mouse clicks including frequently having misleading headlines on his stories.

    pathetic excuse for a writer/blogger

Non story to me. I saw the whole thing. My thinking is that Tomlin was trying to respect your coach's surely P.O.ed mood after a hard fought game that got away from him at the end. So give him a quick greeting and keep it moving.

Tomlin's a really smart guy and I doubt he'd do anything to intentionally show up the other team or their coach. He always talks about how great a rivalry Steelers/Ravens is and the respect he has for your team. Nothing to see here IMO.

I heard it on ESPN radio this morning, so apparently it being made more of than I thought. FWIW, the media take leans toward it being another Harbaugh being pushy about the post-game handshake episode.

Over the years I've found it funny just HOW MANY TIMES John Harbaugh has had run ins with folks. There was a report where he almost got into a fist fight with a certain Drew F and had to be restrained; he called out fans who dared to question him and or his assistant coordinators and told them to go root for another team; he curses at refs and gets bench penalties (more than any other HC in NFL history); he grabs his own players (Ellerbe); and yet...when he describes the events, he's always "Misunderstood". The refs "didn't understand his intent".. The fans "didn't understand his intent". The media "didn't understand his intent". Quite to the contrary, he's quite understandable -- he does NOT have control over his emotions; he does NOT have control over the game time situations; he's an excuse maker and the SAME PROBLEMS keep resurfacing because he's incapable of adequately addressing them. The MAIN PROBLEM with the Baltimore Ravens is COACHING. Regardless of their W/L record. They've won NOTHING but post season trips. They've become the Schottenheimers/Schembechlers/Reid's of the NFL.

31 other teams have that same issue every year.

Typical, stupid, straw man arguments. You must be the same kid who ran home after he got caught doing something wrong and screamed/whined: "BUT ALL THE OTHER KIDS WERE DOING IT TOO!!!"

Aaaaah...so you WERE the kid who screamed/whined: "BUT ALL THE OTHER KIDS WERE DOING IT TOO!!!" I KNEW it. Thanks for the confirmation.

Nice thread until "original" got here. You're straw man references are tiresome. You know one term and run it into the ground. And by the way, the argument you are attacking is not an example of a straw man argument.

"was a report where he almost got into a fist fight with a certain Drew F and had to be restrained"

Not true...and that tells me a lot about you actually...

"he curses at refs and gets bench penalties (more than any other HC in NFL history)"

All coaches curse. And he's gotten ONE bench penalty. I guess all the other coaches have non, if you are correct.

    You are one jealous cat.

To me, the story wasn't Tomlin being quick... it was Harbaugh acting miffed that Tomlin was so quick, which makes it a story. 2 head coaches of a divisional rivalry SHOULDN'T be all buddy-buddy. The shake was there... It was the bare minimum, as it should be.

    LOL. Right on time.

    1. He DID have to be restrained from punching Drew Forrester.
    2. He's gotten TWO bench penalties and ONE fine for striking a ref. That IS more than any other HC in the history of the game.

So you can keep coming back with more lies. All it does is prove my point. Thanks.

(And jealous...of what? Incompetent coaches and their perennial sloppy seconds results, where they get out-coached routinely?)

And ya know...if you're going to shill, at least be a GOOD shill. You're just not very good at it. But keep trying. Maybe, like the Ravens coaching staff, one day you'll get it. Then again...

However, your 48 posts are duly noted. Now either go back to 24/7, where you belong, or back to the main Sun board, where you are routinely abused.
