The problem is that some of the specifics that Bush negotiated are no longer in the treaty.

I want to know why people like Rick Santorum can go on the floor and tell blatant lies to Congress without any consequences. One of these day they will make a crime to lie to Congress.

For example, the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination issueda report in 2008 that addressed issues well beyond the scope of itsmandate, such as U.S policies regarding the death penalty, voting rights, and detention at Guantanamo Bay. The Committee associ-ated with the Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Dis-crimination Against Women brashly issued recommendations re-garding the legalization of prostitution, gender quotas, and in-creased termination of pregnancies."

Okay. These seem to be a legitmate concerns.
You're quoting from the "Minority Views"; do you really want our foreign policy decisions made by James Inhofe and Jim DeMint?

One hundred ninety pages and you focus on Jim DeMint's three.

Did any of these committees' recommendations affect US policies/laws?

When did you start not being thrilled about having US elections monitored? How did it upset or affect your voting experience?

While some parents and some Republican senators worry about the U.N. taking their children away, they're missing the fact that the state already does it with fatal results.

Marie Freyre, Child With Cerebral Palsy, Dies In Nursing Home Hours After State Takes Her From Mom

The emergence of the tragic story of a 14-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who died in a Miami nursing home last year is casting a harsh spotlight on the ongoing dispute between Florida's state health care regulators and the U.S. Department of Justice about the unnecessary "warehousing hundreds of children with disabilities" in nursing homes.
