Default Unlike Pass Years, Where are the Braggers

In past years there has always been people on here that talk smack when the Skins and Ravens get it on. This year it seems the fans are either afraid or just don't care. This is the first year I can recall no smack talk the week of the game.

The Redskins haven't beaten the Ravens in 12 years. It's not a rivalry at this point. Sort of like Maryland vs. Penn State in football.

And of course, the last time the Redskins actually beat the Ravens, it was a 1:00 game in "Raljon", the Ravens were in the midst of a stretch where the offense wasn't scoring, and everybody was writing them off as lucky and on the verge of collapse. Then they won the Superbowl.

I will Brag.... With the Steelers and Bengals breathing down our necks... This is a game that could decide the Division. Redskins on a short work week and a little more involvment with RAY RICE... I believe we will find a way to WIN.

I'm certain there is plenty of smack talk on the numerous Ravens blogs. A word of warning. The Washington Post did a story yesterday on the so called rivalry between the two teams. The comments section (which was up to almost 500 post the last time I looked)was full of meanspirited vitriol directed at our team, our players, the city, the fans, the waterboy. It was freakin ridiculous. I never, ever, hated the Redskin or the fan base. I do now.

I hear you, I've seen it too. I plan to be on my best behavior at Fed Ex, but I've got this info saved to my phone for Sunday, hope everyone attending will make a note of this if you haven't already:

"To request assistance or report an unruly fan on gameday please text "SKINS" to 69050 or call 301-276-6100."

Hope to see some Ravens fans in sec. 117.

It'll be interesting to see what, if anything, Pees and the LBs learned from the Eagles game earlier this year. Vick killed them with some crucial big throws because LBs and DBs were watching Vick and guessing when he was going to try to run. Play your coverages, and let the RB-QB types have their 4 to 7 big runs in a game. Who cares.

Stand around watching Griffin and waiting for him to take off, and receiving targets will be running right past you. Break your coverage to try to go make a run stop, and he'll throw it right over your head to the guy you just let go of. If I'm Pees this game, I couldn't give a rat's behind if Griffin runs for 150 yards. Worry about stopping everyone else, give him his handful of nice plays, and your chances are probably better than if you break off assignments to go stop a personal highlight clip play.

the dc racial slurs are one of the 3 worst franchises in football over the past 20 years .......

even their best run in the 80's is tainted as 2 of their 3 superbowls came in strike years and carry an asterisk .......

ravens on the other hand have been one of the top 5 franchises over the past 15 years ......

the ravens - steelers rivalry is the best in football ........

the slurs - boyz rivalry is a meaningless matchup between 2 irrelevant franchises over the past 2 decades .......

Redskin fans are acting like this is their Super Bowl and are very cocky on the Washington Post message boards. I've countered Baltimore's alleged non support of the Baltimore Colts by telling them they already lost two baseball team and almost lost the Nationals by slim margin on the DC Council's vote a few years ago on the bill to fund Nationals Park. I used the lose of two baseball teams when they make fun of the crime problems in Baltimore. They call me a Baltimoron, I call them a Washingphonian. They also don't like us yelling "O" during the National Anthem while they yell "Red" during when the anthem at a Caps game. They contradict themselves.

Unless you are actually playing the game, what basis would you have for bragging?

Washington has no football team. Maryland has two. Now this being said, the only reason the Redskins sell out is because Congress needs to pay off the lobyist with freebies but baseball is a different story. If the Nats go bad again watch how many show up. The Capitol is a ghost town in the summer ,only tourist around

Until this game you could get good face value tickets on Ticketmaster for Redskins home games starting 10 days before the game with their visiting team return tickets policy. I was able to pull up tickets for the Giants game in the upper lever until a few days before the game. The only tickets available on Ticketmaster for this game if they are available is the $450 per ticket club seat sections.
