WILMINGTON — After years of sending Delaware’s newly released federal prisoners to Baltimore halfway houses or rushing to have social services agencies pick them up at the bus station, Delaware finally will get a federal re-entry facility.

The $1.5 million Delaware Residential Reentry Center – paid for by Community Solutions Inc., which has contracted with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to provide re-entry services in Delaware – is set to open early next year, perhaps by late January.
