ESPN funneling money to MLB teams? How so (outside of the Sunday night Baseball contract? The ESPN sites in NY, LA, Dallas, Chicago, NY and Bos contribute nothing in term of $$$ to any franchise in those cities. Why do you insist on making things up?
angelos owns the broadcast rights for one team and a large majority of the rights to another. Is their another team in MLB with that kind of advantage?
The biggest spender in the TV rights business is Fox Sports...see LA and Dallas....that's why people were getting all excited about the rumors that Fox was going to buy MASN....
Insist on making things up? Please, tell me where I've done that?
I really can't see where they wouldn't contribute anything - since their ratings are 50 percent higher on Yanks-Red Sox games.
Just because officially MLB gets the same for everyone, that doesn't mean there aren't favorable deals given out on individual coverage and contracts in each area, or that there aren't other ways that they don't scratch each others backs.
