    Cool Who Knows?

As far as the State of MD goes, I don't think you can even get Free drinks from the Slots Barns, I mean "Casinos" now. Perish the thought that giving away Free Alcohol (as the Real Casinos in AC & LV do) would show that MD supports more than 1 Vice at a time. After 2AM? I wouldn't count on it, but who knows.

I have 1 more week to go then it's my Winter LV trip the week before Xmas.

I wouldn't waste one dollar on these places here.

I can't see having the slots barns/ soon to be casinos stay open 24 hours and people not being able to drink between 2-6AM...

People will come there after the club looking to keep the party going...

The proposal will need to be approved by the state first. I don't know if the law addresses alcohol sales or not.

I spoke with Maryland Live officials a few weeks back. According to them, they will be able to sell alcohol 24x7.

That's already the case now. A set closing time simply puts them all on the road at once.

Exactly. First of all slots barns are not even close to casinos. And the Baltimore version of a casino will not hold a candle to AC much less LV.

There are so many problems on how Maryland, led by the Democrats, dealt with casino gambling. First of all other casinos in other states, not just in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, but in Kansas City and Memphis, serve free drinks if your playing. You only pay tips, at least the cheap drinks like Coors Light are free. That was never the case in Maryland though I hope that changes. I also don't get why we are not allowed to smoke in Maryland casinos and have to go to those smoking rooms that don't have slots so we can't smoke and play at the same time, so a player will have to give up his machine if he wants to take a smoke break while in Vegas you can sit in front of the slot machine and smoke, and can smoke at the roulette table. I think in additional to bannign free drinks they ALSO have a limit on comps even on free buffet offers I believe. The deals and comps are not as good as even in Delaware.

And also how come NONE of the Maryland casinos have a hotel attached like they do in Delaware and St. Louis? Arundel Mills has hotels in the area but not within walking distance. While in other casino resorts nationwide you can play and stay at the same place and not have to drive to a hotel after consuming alcohol or having to call a cab, or in the winter not having to go into the cold weather. They could have built the Perryville Casino with a hotel attached to it. I wonder if the state also banned that.

Allowing table games was the ONE thing I agreed with from this election (though I would much rather prefer the illegal alien Dream Act had failed). Now they need to allow 24 hour operations, free alcohol, and allow smoking in all the casinos and allow for hotels to be attached to these casinos as well.

It allows those who do not wish to die from second hand smoke to also enjoy the casino experience and not just the inconsiderate people that enjoy blowing smoke in other people's faces.

Wow, casinos sure are classy-- cheap drinks till whenever.

Nothing like elderly cataract candidates driving home on our streets and highways blind drunk after having flushed hundreds of dollars down the toilet.

There were no changes made to DUI/DWI laws or licensing requirements.

Yes, I am sure that people willing to blow thousands of dollars on random chance (and not in their favor), will exercise exemplary judgment and restraint in all areas of their lives including driving and imbibing.

Typical of O'Malley and the power brokers of the one-party monopoly, this was not thought through. They just think, "REVENUE," on top of which they got kickbacks ... I mean political contributions ... from the slot machine manufacturers and casino companies. Let the chips fall where they may.

As to smoking and drinking, I suppose the desire to make money off us and the desire to control what we do may be in conflict. Look for the former to win out.
