Well, gee, the attorneys "defending traditional marriage" haven't been very convincing before. (And why do they use the lie about "defending traditional marriage" and then asking people to pray. Don't they have any conscience?)

And yeah, I'm sure Boies and Ted Olson will get all tongue-tied.

Supposedly according to this crowd, support for same-sex marriage is a direct attack on Jesus, since marriage is supposed to represent the relationship between Christ and his church. Gee, do they get bent out of shape when Jews or Muslims or Hindus or atheists get married? Are these also attacks on Jesus Christ?
    They have Faith, matt.

Which is about as silly as the self-righteousness of the pro-homo lobby lately.

I don't see how SCOTUS could find in favor of the Prop 8 supporters. As a pure legal argument its seems impossible. As far as DOMA is concerned that's a different story and I expect a 5-4 decision based on what Obama has told Roberts to do.

Like i give a rat's behind what you think. Please don't make me laugh. As far as the Founders and what they intended that is irrelevant and immaterial to the current discussion. The question is should Prop 8 be upheld. Answer: Not if you are deciding on a purely legal basis.

    The Founders wrote the Constitution.

Interpreting their intentions is essential if a SCOTUS justice wants to do their job correctly.

As opposed to legislating from the bench. Which, as a conservative, you should oppose, no ?
