Default Aquinas(team Bosco Beat) Blows out #1 Team in The Country Manatee!!

I know this hurts Harco the most because he raved about how bad Aquinas was and how they weren't a Top 50 or Elite team after Bosco beat them(I said they were) but they just stomped a hole in #1 Ranked Manatee! Maybe he will finally admit what I have been saying all year, there is nothing but parity amongst the elite teams Nationally. Any of the Top teams on any given day can beat one another. I watched this game online and it was just a total annihilation!

So you think STA will move from out of the top 100 to top 50? We will see.. Oh by the way Paramus beat Bergen Catholic in the ship.. Sure there is parity among teams but Manatee losing to STA just proves Manatee wasn't elite.. STA looks like they are putting it together late and being you like to play the "if they played now game" STA would clown stomp Bosco if they played now, no doubt about it. Elite is top 20 in my opinion and none of the teams you are ballyhooing about will be top 20.... Maybe the reason there is Parity in the circle of teams your talking is because none of them are elite this year and none of them are in the running for the MNC... The final ranking will come out and we will see who is top 50.... I guarantee you Bosco, Bergen, Gilman, STA wont be in it. Well STA maybe if they beat Lincoln next week.. which is what I said from the beginning...

If your still trying to convince people that this years Bosco team is some elite powerhouse team your beginning to look foolish.. Bosco just isn't Bosco this year and that is the way it is... The elite Bosco teams never even came close to losing to any in state teams... The elite Bosco teams blew the doors of the Darius Jennings Gilman team.... Gilman beat a good Jersey team this year.. Thats just what it is .. sorry you can't accept that..

As far as me being hurt haha don't flatter yourself I don't take this forum stuff that seriously to have any emotions about it... Forums are akin to tv shows like Springer... just entertainment and you sir are the entertainment on this one.. Take that as a compliment..

I was just messing with you. I would hope you're not hurt by any of this crap! I know you don't take it that seriously.

Manatee destroyed EVERYBODY! They are without question an elite team. My point to you is, there is just so many ELITE teams in the country. I would say there are probably 50-60 teams in the country that on any given day and with the right circumstances can beat any team in the country. Look at Moeller, they lost 3 games and were blown out by a team that didn't even make the playoffs. Right now I would say that Moeller could very well be a Top 5 team nationally. It's just a weird year with a hell of a lot of Parity.

As far as Gilman goes, they might not be in the Top 50 on Rivals but they are Top 50 in just about every other Poll Nationally.

By the way, the foolish part is you keep saying teams like Manatee aren't elite because they lose a game. Your definition of Elite narrows every time a team loses to fit your argument. Just admit that you were wrong about Aquinas, nothing wrong with being wrong.

Excellant post. And what aperfect way to END the 2012 Sun board football season (aka "The onGoing Annual 'Gilman, Gilman Gilman. LOOK AT ME' ") report.

... just entertainment and you sir are the entertainment on this one..

(oops, sorry, the junkies still have one more hit, one dose left - the mytholigcal National Championship)

then we can get on with different three-pointers, "national" performances, and of course, continuing Public vs. Privates.

haha Manatee destroyed EVERYBODY??? who are those everybody's they destroyed? well lets examine... Manatee played no OOS games games so these everybody's are confined to just FLA teams.. The general consensus is FLA is down this year.

Truth is Manatee didn't have that strong a schedule. The best team they played was Central twice... Miramar ended up 7-5 so that didn't help .. That is why they dropped on the computer rankings down to 33 after the loss the SOS wasn't that strong... are they elite? well maybe hard to tell.. Yeah they beat Central twice but lost to STA.. Is STA that much improved or was Manatee overrated? Don't know... I do know they are out of the race for the MNC and out of the State Championship as well.. Hard to call a team elite if they don't win states or even make the final...

Florida is a power state with many great teams. Would you not call Texas teams elite? Because they NEVER travel. California teams rarely travel as well.

I wasn't the one who said they beat EVERYBODY? We don't know if Manatee is elite nationally because 1. they didn't play OOS 2. They didn't win the State Championship. 3. They only played 1 top 100 team..

These things together are what leads me to questioning their "elite" status... Of course the teams that win Tex States, FLA States, CA Sectionals(certain ones) Ohio States, are great teams... and Texas teams do travel on occasion... Like when Euless Trinity traveled and got beat by Bellevue whom I believe is the best team this year but wont get the nod due to SOS... but watching them play I don't see any team beating them... they are a machine...

So in your eyes, only teams that win their state championships can be considered elite? So if a team loses to another team in the state championship, then that makes them not elite correct?

Speaking of Bellevue, I know there were talks with Gilman this year about them playing next year. Not sure if the deal has been made or not. But I expect to see them or Curtis on the schedule(or both) next year.

I have a friend who ref the game . It was held in the home field of STA. Manattee Bradenton came in cocky and STA was jacked. This being said STA really came on strong and the last several games become a unit. The coach is a little high strung but the players are legit. Huge lines and speed with a really good D1 QB running the show. Next week in Orlando he said will be a test. The question is did STA blow it all in the 7A State Semi Finals. The 8A Finals will be also very good as both these teams are very fast. You may see games so wide open the scoring may be in the high 30's for all teams. This friend of mine knows football and said everyone in Fl was shocked Manattee Bradenton lost after beating a Fort Pierce Team 51 to 0 the week before. Go figure.

I hope you all know the word travel is kind of vague in Fl,Tex Cal etc. A team could travel 3,4,5, even 10 hours to play a game in these states and it still is played in that state.lol. So trtavel is a loose term. From Miami or even Key West to the panhandle is over 10 hours of travel.lol

Florida goes through 8 levels of play. I would say from 5A to 8A the Florida top 5 teams would all be in the top 50 in Md. As for the MIAA Florida would do well in all their divisions as well.

Leave it to GA to overextend the hype to unrealistic proportions ~ now he's got 20 teams (top 5 in 4 divisions) all in the Top 10; with an exclamation point for emphasis.

Manatee is one of the best teams in the nation period. I saw them play first hand. They played bosco tough last year. Manatee would smoke Gilman and Good counsel.Maybe running clocks. Their passing game is elite. Their speed is elite. Defense lights out.

Gilman and Good counsel were good but not elite by even their own standards

Did you see them first hand when they lost to GC?

Yeah really. Manatee would beat GC and Cilman but not by a running clock. Their lines were big but was soft as hell. I saw the Aquinas game and Aquinas straight manhandled them.

STA gets sloppy at times but did put a beating on Manatee. The District final was a thriller I hear as they gave up 21 easy points. Against Manatee in the Semi final game they must have concentrated on the errors they were making.Manatee beat a very good Ft Pierce Central team 51 to 0 and I think Central is kind of like Gilman
