I hope you are right OCF but I just can't see it. Caldwell does not have time to install a new offense. All he can do is run the ball more and IMO that is what he should do.

New offense? All he needs to do is add a few plays to the SIX PLAYS that Cameron ran. If he and Joe can't work something better out, then there's something RADICALLY wrong, man.

Until Rivers BEATS a Maryland team how do you expect him to WIN for a Maryland team?

Never beat MD while at NCSU, never beat the Ravens in his pro career....

Rivers is like Bradshaw, Namath and Rapistburger in that category.

So now your flip-flopping @ best. Bigger issues. Just earlier today you had no issues with Flacco. Those of us whom see's glaring inconsistencies are haters. Make up your mind. Ahhh which way did he go George..........

No way would I franchise Flacco because he's not worth that kind of money. They're gonna need that cap space to help fix the OL and the Defense. If Flacco would be willing to sign a reasonable contract I would be all for re-signing him.

It would be ridiculous to go out and dump a boatload of money on Rivers because that would essentially put them in the same position in regards to the cap.

Lewis,Reed,Boldin,McKinnie and Birk all need to be put out to pasture and that cap savings needs to be investing into adding quality young talent to the OL and the Defense.

You ready for a Tyrod Taylor led offense next year? Despite all the haters on this forum I can think of 5 teams off the top of my head that will take Flacco right now. If you don't sign him or tag him, he's gone

Flacco DESERVES a shot without Cam tying him down. To get rid of him would be stupid.

Rivers is a good QB, but he's missed the playoffs every year since Tomlinson left the Chargers.

I'm all for signing him just not for anything ridiculous until his play shows that he's worth it.For the $16 or so million it would cost to tag him I'm sure they could find a better option than Tyrod.

Flacco is not a top 5 QB and until he shows that he belongs in that group he shouldn't be paid like one.

Someone is going to pay him that. So as I said, I hope you're ready for a Tyrod Taylor offense

The salary cap for next season is projected to come in around $120 million. If Flacco continues with the up and down play as we've seen thus far would it be worth it for the team to pay him top 5 QB money which would be $16-20 million per season?

Lets see Flacco gets his $18million,Haloti his $10 million,Suggs his $10 million and Boldin his $10 million. That would leave the team with $72 million to pay the salaries of the other 49 players.May as well brace for a whole bunch more mediocrity and cheap castoffs from other teams because the cap simply will not allow for anything better.

The only way you can sustain that is by getting players on the cheap through the draft who can be solid consistent contributors to the team.Something the Ravens have failed to do these past few drafts and a big reason why the Defense has fallen into the current state that it's in.

Who was the QB the last time the Ravens won the SB?

I can't remember his name, but I do remember he had the top defense of all time in his corner when he was going 6 straight games without scoring a TD. That defense no longer exists in this town. The current defense loses to backup and 3rd string QBs. BTW I know it was Dilfer, that was tongue in cheek

In large part because the team had to let players like JJ and Redding walk because they couldn't afford to keep them since a handful of players are consuming a huge chunk of their cap room.Haloti,Suggs,Lewis and Reed are accounting for almost $40 million against the cap this season. My opinion is that they aren't getting their monies worth.

    1. Peyton Manning, Broncos - $19.2
    2. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers - $17
    3. Michael Vick, Eagles - $16
    4. Tom Brady, Patriots - $15.7
    5. Eli Manning, Giants - $15.27
