    Default Cameron Fired

Just heard it on the radio.

Shocked. I wanted him canned but not like this. I hope the Ravens will analyze this at seasons end. I don't think Caldwell is the answer at all.

Amen!!!! This cannot be bad in any way!!! Let Caldwell take the interim job, who cares! Anybody but Cam! We can find the right OC for next season. This is great news!!! Takes away some of the sting of two losses that should have been wins. Thank You Steve!!!! You did the right thing...without a doubt!

There is actually light at the end of the tunnel for the Ravens and their fans. EXCELLENT timing! No need to wait til the end before making changes; it was obvious the Ravens were going nowhere with Cameron at the helm of the offense. The next 3 weeks are going to be like a mini training camp, heading into the post season. Finally...some reason for optimism for Ravens fans. And while this should have been done 2 years ago, better late than never.

I don't think Cameron was all of the problem. However, I'm certainly OK with this move. There has been a reason the offense has sputtered consistently in the second half and Cameron seemed to have a hard time adjusting at intermission (this is just an observation on my part).

It's done but nothing is going to change. I've played football. The talent is what it is on the OL in particular. There is a reason why it takes time to instill new plays into a playbook. Even if Caldwell uses more plays in the playbook they haven't run them. It isn't as simple as just putting a new guy in and suddenly everything changes. If that were the case we'd see this all the time. I'm happy Cam is gone but not pleased with the process. I certainly don't want Caldwell being our OC next season when better proven guys will be on the market. A team that wants to win now or soon will/should go with established leadership in the OC and DC positions IMO.

Disagree totally. I expect to see FAST DEVELOPING PLAYS, proper use/exploitation of the middle of the field, more shotgun/hurry up offense, more TAKING IT TO defenses, better use of personnel, and a definite increase in Joe's confidence and productivity. BEST THING the Ravens could have possibly done. No need to just lose out by default because of a stubborn incompetent OC. Making the change now, while providing no guarantee, at least removes the negative guarantee that Cameron would continue to squander another golden opportunity. There is NO dominant team this year, which opens up the door to the Ravens as much as any other team. This is great news for the Ravens and their fans, whether you see it or not.

Just the beginning indeed." Blackwater" outside MT Bank.
Things looked chilly between Harbaugh and Cameron via the camera shots during the game. Way to save yourself as I suggested yesterday, Harbaugh. Good move as well to give Jim a chance to prove a little before a permeant move. Now maybe the offense will buy into the team solutions in regards to moving the ball efficiently. And maybe Thompson , Doss and Reed can get some playing time. We need all the help we can get to get separation down field.

Hell nar you ain't crazy. They need a spark from somebody besides Pitta and Boldin. Torry needs alittle more work with the deep pass. (finding it for one and running underneath with his hands coordinated to catch without his body. Dickson=non factor. Doss needs opportunities to run the slant, post and the like. Thompson is benched, why ?
Just dumb decisions that cause me question Harbaugh leadership and willingness to give the rookies a shot @ making plays. If they made your team why don't you play them ever ?

Bisciotti specifically addressed the failure to properly use young talent and the need to correct that in his state of the team address at the beginning of the year. But has it really happened? Any more than Newsome's statement that the O-line needed to be upgraded? There are several issues that have hampered the Ravens, but of all of them, I think Cameron was the biggest. We'll see...

This reminds of Billick firing everybody around Boller, rather than face the source of his actual problem.

And what does your current Browns team remind you of? The Browns teams from the past decade or more? Cuz that's what it reminds ME of.

The only name that comes to mind is Matt Cavanaugh. And I'm pretty sure the owner forced his hand on that one. Refresh my memory on the other firings, please...

I'm particularly going to miss the 40 yard 3rd and short pass play conversion attempts!
