Default Trade a 3rd round pick for Cousins!

I've been pleading for the past three years for the team to fire cam. Now that its happened I feel like wow the damage has been done. The lost years, games, etc. I'm tired of the stubborn coaches. Flacco with all his records blah blah blah(this team doesnt have hard QB records to break!!) has to go. I mean theres no sense of urgency in him. NO "ok #@$* this time to make a play!", NO "whos blitzing here, and who am I about to expose?". He just doesnt have it and to be honest I think the only time we'll all know is when hes stinkin it up on another team. We made bumbling Boller, 3 yard bomb Mcnair, 20th round pick Wright, playoff QBs. Year after year the coaches were too stubborn to make cuts. Boller cost us what FIVE YEARS!! thanks coach! I've backed Flacco but hes not progessing.....oh you want BIG MONEY???PEACE! NO WAY WE GIVE HIM $70-100 million. That would set us back at least 5 years. Ozzie be smart here, PLEASE. Oh yeah I say we trade for Cousins and not miss a beat. He'll break Flaccos records in no time.

Boller never played a down in a playoff game (thank goodness). So nobody made him a "playoff" QB. That would be an impossible feat.

I say trade three 1st round picks plus Flacco to Washington so he can back up Griffin! Don't even ask for Cousins in return... just give the picks away so they can unload Flacco.

By the way, Boller was the QB of a team that went 9-7 and missed the playoffs by a game. Mark Sanchez was the QB of a team that went 9-7 and reached an AFC title game. Eli Manning was the QB for a team that went 9-7 and then won a SB.

Just the fact you're trying to put Flacco in the same conversation as those other guys tells me I can't take you seriously

It's amazing how much you can tell about a player with one pass that had an interference call on it, one little half lob pass into the end zone to a wide open receiver and a 2 yard QB draw play.

Yup. Teams like Arizona must never want to win since great quarterbacks clearly grow on trees these days.

Look Flacco not playing his best, I'll be the first to admit but at least we have a chance to win games with him. We are not going to get a high 1st round pick and there is no one in our range worth picking up so I'll stick it out with Flacco. Some of you all forget the days with Boller, Cunningham, Stoney Case, Jeff Blake, Harbaugh, Scott Erickson, etc. I'm in no rush to go back to that especially when we have a qb who is one dropped pass from being in the Super Bowl.

Cousins and Kaepernick make Flacco look like he's playing in a coma. (Oh, that's right, he is.)

No thanks. You can't tell what a guy can do based on three plays. Even Boller made a few good plays

He had a pretty damn good game against the Browns yesterday... although it was the Browns.

I think the Redskins may be able to flip Cousins in the off-season, but I think maybe the skins would try and get someone like Larry Fitzgerald.

After the win against the Browns the Redskins will probably want a lot more than a 3rd round draft pick for Cousins IF they are interested in trading him.

So Cousins played 3 plays and had 1 good game and now people want to trade for him, lol. This is hilarious. Just like last year Cam Newton was the best rookie QB ever and look at him now. It takes 2-3 years to really see what kind of QB you have. We know what we get out of Joe, he is a winner. Yes he hasnt played well lately, and neither has Eli Manning. Matt Ryan had a 3 game funk earlier this year as well, didnt hear people wanting Ryan to be traded.

Matt Flynn has some good games last season. What's he doing this season? Sitting on the bench.

I feel as if a lot of people over blow the whole "Cam Newton sophomore slump" argument. Newton has 25 net TDs (18 passing; 7 rushing) to 13 net turns (10 INTs; 3 FumL). Not to mention, he's doing it while grabbing major air yardage too (8.2 yards per pass play). Compare him this season, to his main contemporary (from the 2011 draft class),

Cam Newton TD/turnover differential: +12 (down from +16 in 2011)
Andy Dalton TD/turnover differential: +12 (up from +6 in 2011)

It's clear Newton's regressed with respect to pass efficiency (down percentage points) and contributing scores, but he's gotten better at avoiding turns and exploiting blown coverages (for big gains).

For the record, between 2008-2013, Flacco has been +2, +7, +12, +3, and currently, +8 with respect to TD/turnover differential. That's an aggregate of roughly +6 over 5 seasons (compare to Newton's aggregate +14).

^His last game was a real gem though, and he did it against a stout DL. The only thing that brings up red flags (to an extent), are the 3 INTs within the span of one game (vs CLE), one and one-quarter period (vs ATL), and one series (vs us). Conversely, the guy he's backing up (RGIII), has four through the rough equivalent of thirteen games (twelve games and two and three-quarter periods).
