You are correct 85Knight. I didnt see the City Dunbar game but the Lake game was horribly officiated. A two point game with 37 seconds to go and you call a tech? All night long I thought Lake's coach maintained his composure even though Lake was getting screwed on some crazy calls. Baltimore City must have the worse refs in the country and the funny thing is that they believe they are good!

How do you even have Lake and Edmondson play again when they played two days ago. Hopefully Citys loss wont hurt their regional playoff seedings.

Will Lake's coach get fired for that?

Milford rallied from 6 points down in the final 1:57 of regulation to knock off Edmondson 69-66 on a Devonte Williams 3 pointer at the buzzer.

    Dunbar beat Riverdale Baptist 45-37

Thats a very good win for Dunbar. Riverdale had won 11 in a row and was really playing well.

I think Milford and Potomac are the two favorites in 3A. Really wish Potomac was able to play their game against City on Friday.

On a completely different topic, a case could be made that 4 of the top 5 teams in Maryland are public schools: St. Frances, North Point, Dunbar, Magruder, Roosevelt? Milford might be in the mix as well. Interesting...

St Frances isn't a public school

I know. I think St. Frances is the #1 team in the state. The rest of the top 5 are public school teams.

A complete choke job by City at the end of that game. All they did in the 4th qtr was turn the ball over. They're talented enough to play with anybody but the mental lapses kill them all the time. Sometimes they just look disinterested and play with no emotion. If the coaches don't find a way to light a fire in this team the season will only go downhill from here.

Big props to Coach Jones because coaching won it for Dunbar.

I agree with you about the 3a. City will give Milford a game that will probably be played at Milford but they are just too inconsistent to beat them.

It's a shame we couldn't get a matchup like St. Frances vs. Roosevelt in the Academy this year. That would be a very interesting game.

St Frances has been playing in alot of out of state events this year. They are certainly talented enough to do so.

SFA lost to Shiloh High School yesterday. For those that don't know, Shiloh is coached by former Randallstown head man Kim Rivers.

There should always be a couple of MIAA teams in the Academy.

Is Kevin English related to him? He must have a good squad down there.

I just got word that 2 of Riverdale's starters didn't play and that both were D-1 kids. That definitely puts an asterisk beside Dunbar's win. I was wondering why they only had 9 players suited up.

The MIAA schools, from what I've been told, worry about how the games will be officiated.

Rivers and Kevin English are not related to my knowledge. Shiloh is currently 15-5 but three of their losses were to out of state teams including a 8 point loss to Montverde Academy who spent the early part of the season ranked #1 by USA Today. Montverde is currently ranked 4th nationally.

I'm heading down with my crew. Pretty good matchups.

The D.C. league might be the best in the state this year. I didn't see it coming but they have some impressive wins over the rest of the state.

Coolidge has a good squad. Kim Rivers team Shiloh is ranked #2 in Gwinnett County and in the top 10 in the state of Georgia...

Roosevelt is currently undefeated and ranked 3rd in the Washington Post. They have a 3 point win over Coolidge on their resume. Roosevelt has also beaten national power Montrose Christian this season.

Why is St Frances playing Spingarn. Spingarn is terrible. Roosevelt pg, Gonzaga or Dematha should be playing st Frances. Spingarn has not been good for a while.
