Oh I definitely don't put them in any all time great category. I think Dunbar has the best player in the Area in Miles and Stokes is also big time. What Dunbar has over SFA is COACHING! With knowing what they both have(and without seeing them this year), I give Dunbar the edge because of coaching.
Mt St Joe successfully defends their BCL Tournament crown with 73-56 win over Spalding tonight at Loyola University.
All Tournament Team
MVP: Phil Booth - MSJ
Corey Groom - Mt Carmel
Kimbal Mackenzie - John Carroll
Jourdan Grant - Spalding
Earl Potts - Spalding
Kam Williamns - MSJ
Side Note: Ohio State head coach Thad Motta was in the building tonight to watch Kam Williams and possibly get another look at Phil Booth.
Isn't Mackenzie a frosh. He had a heck of a season, how does he project for the college level.
City beat North Harford 65-34 but it was really much worse. North Harford had 4 points at the half, 1 bucket and 2 free throws. City got bored and NH played harder in the 2nd half to keep it from looking like a girl's score.
The surprise of the playoffs so far has to be Mervo's win over Springbrook last night. Springbrook might not be the team they were when they were winning state titles but they weren't horrible and they beat Magruder twice this year while Mervo is an average city D-II team. This was shocker for me.
This leaves the door wide open for Poly to get to Comcast. Even though they have to get it done on the road Poly has already beaten Westminster earlier this year and I'd take them over Dulaney. The biggest obstacle left is probably Paint Branch but that's still a winnable game for Poly.
Wow! Mervo wins again. Cinderella is at the ball and turning heads. If they beat Poly I'd be shocked but that pumpkin is still looking like a carriage right now.
How does Randallstown beat Chesapeake 132-28? Chesapeake's coach should be fired immediately. In 32 minutes of basketball that's an avg. of a basket every 30 sec. unless they were lights out from 3 or hit a lot of free throws. No coach should let his team get embarrassed like that without just flat out holding the ball to slow the other team down. That score is just unreal.
