If you want to sleep around but not have kids then contraceptives are readily available to you. You've got no right to charge me for it. People need to be responsible for their actions and that includes unfortunate or unplanned consequences.
Guess what... kids (and young adults) make dumb decisions all the time. Sometimes those decisions cost their parents' money. Sometimes those decisions cost the taxpayers money. We aren't going to change their minds and/or habits.

Best to make an investment now to protect the taxpayer from their future stupid actions.

A $16,000,000,000,000.00 hole later... you're not protecting the taxpayer.

Call me old fashion but I see it as a problem when the TAXPAYER pays for them.
You sure are making alot of assumptions about single parents and all the children born to single moms... still not one shred of proof that parasites and criminals represent a LARGE percentage of the 309 million people in the US. Where's the proof?

Yeah, that $16,000,000,000,000.00 hole is all about preventing (or not preventing) unwanted pregnancies. The MIC has nothing to do with that

look inside the jails if you want proof. That COULD be the problem..... failure to accept the ills of baby mommas.

Sorry, I was talking about the US federal government. When you have a death by a thousand cuts each individual cut won't kill you but the combination of them all will.

Sorry, I'm a realist and you are not. Can't argue with someone who can't see beyond 1 paycheck.

Really? What part of that $16 trillion is fake? I'm looking well beyond 1 paycheck and seeing multi-generational debt. The kind that is getting run up by people making excuses for the government getting involved in things it should have nothing to do with.

That's not proof... show me some hard numbers... I'd be willing to bet that there are far less than 10%... hell, probably less than 5% of the US adult population that's in jail or prision at the federal, state and/or local level

Nonsense, I was spot on. You're standards for humans is below the Mendoza line. Deal with it, parasites, drug dealers, murderers and baby factories are something PEOPLE can do without.

Why do you insist on strawman arguments? Where did I say anything about that dollar amount being fake?

If you can't see how spending money one one thing can prevent bigger problems down the road, then I don't know what to tell you.

I guess you don't change your oil, go to the doctor for check-ups, etc. since that costs money now.

No strawman, you're just ignoring the 800lbs. gorilla in room. He is a rather expensive gorilla. Frightfully so.

I do change my oil. I just don't care for the idea of government charging me to change somebody else's oil. You know, that being a personal responsibility.

The bigger problem down the road already exists because of people who want the government to spend money on all manner of things.
