The problem with our socialist/communist workers' paradises where the government owns everything and assures that everything is fair and everyone is provided for, is that they always seem to involve heavily fortified border crossings with machine guns and barbed wire to keep their citizens from escaping to somewhere else where there is freedom of choice and opportunity. As a system, in theory, it works, but it is not what human beings really need to prosper and be at peace.
