You mean the whole 4-2 vote, the whole origin of this tread, wasn't the result of a Loyola/Calvert Hall using the new SFA entry to strongarm a Catholics vs. poor McDonogh/Gilman. What a waste of two pages of posts

. Of course, there's also that wasted space spent on "LOY and CHC are scared".
Playoffs in a six team league that play each other round robin are the joke. Mathmatically, you're always going to end up with a .500 team at best in the lowest seed (likely there will be a sub.500).
A championship game is doable.
And that championship game could easily be scheduled the weekf after the Turkey Bowl [which by the way didn't start being called that until it was the onl game on Thanksgiving (hence "Turkey") ~ it was always just "Loyola/Calvert Hall" and "City/Poly" in the "good old days"

].
And a couple of other things:
The MIAA was indeed held in high esteem when it did not have playoffs. It even helped build that Gilman's touted SOS ! (5th / 7th highest ranked conference and blah, blah, blah).
Really shouldn't put McDonogh alongside of Gilman in this sort of talk. They are not on par in anyway. How many times have they beaten both Loyola and Calvert Hall in the same season ?
But, hey, this is entertaining. I am really waiting for GA's direct response to Jeebus. I sure hoe he doesn't let Insider speak for him.
