    Default Make corporate taxes 0%

We the people, through our Representative’s, decide what our federal government will fund, therefore we the people pay for it with taxation.

Corporations are not people, cannot vote, and do not have a Representative, so should not pay taxes.

However, that would mean ANY individual income, whether through labor or investment, is taxed the same. No more carried interest or capital gain tax rate of 15%. If you’re a biological creature with DNA and a citizen of the USA, if you have “income”, you pay a tax on it as income.

Why couldn’t we have that and remove the tax on companies all together?

It wouldn't matter if money was made overseas, or on the moon, it wouldn't get taxed until it was transferred to an individual as payment for service of employment.

I think it would be fine to do that.

HOWEVER, if that were to somehow ever occur, it should also be _very_ illegal for any corporation to funnel money to political campaigns/candidates/politicians either directly or indirectly or even via lobbyists, but that ain't going to happen. Ever.

As downhome said, many big companies ALREADY pay nothing (or less) AND enjoy tremendous and disproportionate influence in politics.

Well a side effect of a 0% tax rate is it would literally remove the "we have the highest corporate taxes" political debate, and it would honest to goodness invite new business development and re-investment of off-shore earnings.

It's win-win, imo. Win for Democrats and Republicans.

That is a great idea. We will just need to raise your taxes to 90 percent to make up for the lose of tax revenue
