Default Fatal Car Accident on I-95/195

I witnessed this as it happened today. It was insane. The car launched like 10-20 feet in the air. It didn't hit a guardrail, it hit an embankment, flew through the air and disappeared in cloud of dust. I knew right away there was no chance they survived.

One man died Thursday morning after the car he was driving on Interstate 95 in Arbutus became airborne and went over a highway overpass, landing on I-195 below and hitting another car, whose driver was also injured.

Police officers say the cause of the crash is unknown and an investigation continues. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack at 410-780-2700.

Called 911 when it happened and then called back later to file a report.

20 years old -> going too fast, fell asleep, texting/talking on the phone? See it all too often.

Glad to hear the innocent driver his car landed on is ok.

Will people ever learn? Drive like an idiot; die like an idiot.

Honestly, you can't really say what happened. I saw no evidence of reckless speeds or erratic driving.

Drunk or asleep at the wheel? Possibly. It was incredibly odd the way it seemed to happen though.

Ybnormal doesn't either. There's a reason they're called accidents. Somebody makes one small mistake . . . and well, it doesn't turn out well. I witnessed a horrific accident one time. I still don't talk about it.

Shut up. You weren't there. You barely know what's going on in your immediate surroundings let alone someplace else..

However, people learn a lot about you.
