And yes I want the second amendment repealed. It was a bad decision to be included in the first place. Just because they made a mistake 200 years ago doesn't mean we have to be stuck with it today.
Alcohol should be the first thing to be abolished, it kills more people then guns yearly.

They are relevant. And the answer is no one was armed. "Why would they be armed"?! Your kidding, right?

And the killer could have easily loaded a u-haul with barrels of industrial fertilizer and leveled the whole school building. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Don't even need to do all of that. A tanker of ethanol would do a whole lot of damage.

We can add vehicles that are built that travel over 70 mph. Processed foods and a whole list of things. My point is the second a gun is involved people jump all over the topic while most people gives two craps when alcohol or speed is involved.

Most sane people would not consider that a "blaze of glory" either. But to someone so severely twisted mentally, it is just that. The 24/7 cable news coverage, the social media available, that represents the attention to them that they want. The pent up hostility and detachment from reality makes them want to go out in just this type of way where all the attention is finally on them. Attention, whether negative or positive, is attention. It is why some smaller children throw tantrums. They get attention for those tantrums. Whether it is positive or negative does not matter. I would bet that in the planning process leading up to this, the shooter probably fantasized about the very same wall to wall coverage that this tragedy is now getting.

I don't have social network buddies - another false assumption of yours. I object to politicizing tragedies. Put yourself in the shoes of those who are suffering a loss and imagine if they read some of these posts. Blow off steam some other way.

So U-haul trucks and ethanol tankers are just as easy to get a hold of as a gun? Spare me. At some point, common sense has to take over.

My God, the bodies of the children are not even cold before our resident gun-nuts are out in force defending their position. Shame on everyone of you!

I'm not following the logic, killer could have blown up the whole city if atomic bombs were legal and readily accessible but they're not (guess we have atomic bomb control which is a good thing) so he used easily accessible guns to mass kill toddlers, call me crazy but maybe we should make it harder for physcopathic people to get guns

I hope you are including the gun banners in that statement. It seems they started it.

Then let me put it another way. I (WE) don't really need your preaching. Nobody made you come to this site today and start telling everyone what they should be doing in light of this tragedy. But something tells me you need this therapy, so by all means, stay.

No not at all. But someone determined to cause this level of mayhem could procure the non-gun weapon to do it.

A few years back, a tanker of diesel (or gas, can't remember) was hijacked at a Baltimore terminal (for profit) and they made it to DC and managed to drop the load (unload the gas in the underground tank) long before anyone got caught.

    Shadow, what is the problem?
