And now you have it folks. Another issue destined to be stalemated as with the national debt issue.

BTW, how many gun owners did not go on a shooting rampage yesterday?
As I have opined, those Americans on the extremes of the argument will find themselves outside of the debate and decisions will be made for them as is invariably the case for anyone holding extreme views on anything.

Do you always inject race into a conversation when you lose an argument?

Are you not trading one problem for another? People have rights, even the profoundly disturbed.

As a nation we need to be careful moving forward, imo. Knee jerk reaction to the events of 9/11 led to the PATRIOT act and the security state.

It is your argument of anti-civil rights bigotry. Your inability to handle your position with a mere change of object is what is to be expected.

I believe dsummoner was just using a metaphor that you, if you are black, could relate to and compare it to the argument you recently made.

There is nothing extreme about individual rights and liberties unless the country has descended so far down the fascist/socialist ideological hellhole as to make this country no different from the historical norm of tyranny.

You mean like my support for gay rights and immigration amnesty? You fail, again.

Metaphor and more. Historically, in this country, the pant wetting and bed soiling fear of X has been a driving factor in imposing the type of Grindenwaldian anti-civil rights bigotry in legislative form. X has historically been on the basis of race.

Just re-read your own posts and you should get my drift.

I mean your pants wetting and bed soiling fear... the same that your racist predecessors used to peddle their 'war' on drugs and race based laws.

The country, as is, is but a mere shadow of the ideals upon which it was founded. The shift to mob rule and the concomitant diminution of the republic aspect has played no small part in this.

Have your handler explain it to you as it is beyond your pay grade.

ROFLMBAO! That you still have not figured out the paradigm at play only adds to the comedy at your own expense. Such is why you need a leader.

The fact still remains that nothing I have said in this thread supports your inane assertions.

You just keep digging your hole even deeper with your wild flailing.

Have one of your fellows, who is your intellectual better, on the busted Libbie hooptie, explain the concept of paradigm to you.

Anti-civil rights bigoted fascist says that which was already known (aka the Emmanuel doctrine).

    Source:

A veteran Democratic lawmaker believes the nation will go along with stronger gun control laws if President Obama “exploits” the Newtown, Conn., tragedy and nudges Congress to action.

“I think we will be there if the president exploits it, and otherwise we’ll go on to the next” incident, Mr. Nadler said.
It is heartening to see the fascists such as Nadler parading the corpses of the dead around in a method for peddling their political agenda of anti-civil rights bigotry.
