Are the striped shirts. What crew is officiating this game? I think we'll see a renewed offense and a defense that will play hard. But I'm concerned about how the game will be called. I sure as hell hope they let them play football but these days that's seldom seen. With crazy-legs Manning coming to town I hope to God they don't treat him like he's pretty boy Brady and "protect" him.

I honestly believe this game will come down to penalties. I think it's going to be a close game and sure as hell would hate to lose it on a rotten stinking call.

Pete Morelli and his crew will be officiating. They officiated the Ravens/Chiefs game earlier this year.

A little pre-emptive whining is always good. Manning gets the same protection as any other quarterback.

LOL. As much as I like t.c.'s posts, I had the exact same reaction when I first saw this. With ALL the other issues the Ravens legitimately have, worrying about the refs is the LAST thing on MY list. But hey...to each his own, right?

If the Ravens lose, something tells me it won't be because of the refs. Unless the refs can flag Manning for completing too many passes.

Considering our defense can't stop 2nd and 3rd string QBs, I'd say that's an accurate assesment

Facing Manning is tough. It might be my imagination but he seems better than ever. Also he now has a defense that can win games. They will be tough in the tournament.

As usual the healthy teams seem to have the edge.

No doubt. But since the goal is to win championships, and winning championships means more than just being handed it on a silver platter, then if the Ravens want to be a championship team, let them go out and prove it. It's really that simple.

I am sure the players on this team appreciate your scapegoat. They need a new one.

if this game comes down to penalties we are in trouble..the Ravens are the second most penalized team in the league.

There is nothing to "worry" about in this game if you chalk it up to a loss. I just wish we could have faced the Broncos early in the season around the time we faced NE at home. By that I mean with a full strength team with the starters intact. It took everything this team had to beat NE at full strength (other than Suggs of course) and I think it would to beat Manning and his Broncos squad. Now, with the team decimated with injuries, they have no chance of winning this game short of (heave forbid) something happening to Peyton early in the game where he couldn't return. This game won't even be close. I fully expect another Texans type blowout.

If the Ravens get common sense back in their play calling, they will be fine.
There is a good chance of that happening... .

If the line can't block and the defense can't stop 2nd and 3rd string QBs , the O will have to put up 50 points

I hope you are right but I just don't see how. No Webb, No Ray, No Pollard, No Yanda, No Jimmy Smith. Even though this is a home game, it seems like we have almost half the starting team out of the game!

I guarantee a win. The Ravens will win this game.
