Maybe in 2013
Tyrod should start in Week 17 if we have wrapped up the division
I hate to call a fellow Ravens fan a moron but those who voted for Taylor are just that or else didn't watch him stink up the field against second stringers and third stringers in pre-season.
These are probably the same fans who thought Kyle Boller was going to be the next Drew Brees!

there is no evidence taylor can play. when flacco is struggling, and he has numerous times the past two years have they ever put Taylor in? The answer should tell you all you need to know.
To get where the Ravens want to go they need an improved OL and a better QB. Flaccos lack of pocket presence will never allow him to grow as a QB.
The team is in a catch 22 with Joe.He's clearly not worth elite QB money but if they give him what he wants then they aren't going to have enough cap space to improve the team in other areas where they need it (like the OL) and without these upgrades Flacco won't be successful.
2.) Why is Alex Smith the popular choice? He had a better team around in San Fran and still couldn't get the 49ers to the Superbowl and now he's a backup. The better Harbaugh coach isn't coming here to protect Smith.
If Flacco takes a cap friendly deal then what's the problem? Why are you and others assuming that his agent is still demanding elite QB money? Have you talked to Joe Linta recently? NO Have you talked to Ozzie Newsome and Pat Moriaty recently? NO So how would you know anything about Joe's current contract talks.
2.No clue about Smith but there are times when he's been pretty effective. If the options are pay Smith $9 mill a season or Flacco $17 mill than I would rather take a chance on Smith because we know what we're gonna get from Flacco and the difference isn't worth $8 million a season. That's an additional one maybe two solid free agents that they could sign. This offseason that $8 million would have almost been enough to cover the salaries of Eric Winston the OT that was signed by KC and Ben Grubbs.
If Flacco would settle for a deal in the $10-11 million per season area I would have no problem at all with him returning.
