Same offense: What did people expect?

Well Dierdorf(and I know a lot of you likes nothing he says) said that it was a bad throw by Flacco but it wasn't a bad call because they were moving fast paced on the drive and a TO would have benefited the Broncos defense

he may be right....after all I'm sure he knows more about the game than I.

however...and you knew it was coming I would much rather get beat using my #1....Ray Rice. Again in my opinion just to big a risk and let's not forget how good the Denver defense is

I think it was all flaccos fault other than maybe they should have called a time out. If a coach calls a play, the qb should never just throw it to the receiver no matter what. You got to throw it away if the defense is defending that play well. Dierdorf said it sure looked like flacco made up his mind where he was throwing that ball no matter what before the ball was snapped.

I can see his argument and yours. Yours more so because of the TOs left. For some reason though, I just imagine that Manning, Brees, or Rodgers wouldn't have thrown a pick on that same call. There in lies the problem with our offense IMO of course

The big problem from here on out is that the people in charge need to recognize (and acknowledge) that this is a lost season. The Ravens do not have the ability to turn anything around. In a sense its unfortunate that they are 9W and 5L - because they are blinded by the record and they do not recognize the reality of this situation. This team could just as easily be 5W and 9L - and probably should be! The Ravens have only played 4 or 5 good games all year.

The Ravens need to play their young players and get them some real experience going into 2013. I'd start with pulling Birk (who was done last year) and replacing him with Gradkowski. Lets see Rainey and more of Doss (and less of Boldin).

Needless to say we need a new Offensive Coordinator and we might as well start looking now. There needs to be a wholesale change in personnel and coaches next year. They need to draft an O line and bring in somebody at QB who can at least push Joe. Why Tyrod Taylor is on the team is a mystery to me.

I just don't see how you can blame it on the play book. Flacco played horrible and it had nothing to do with the play book IMO. At some point, we got to stop making excuses for this guy and call a spade a spade. I mean next year, we will blame it on him trying to learn a new system. Before we know it, it's been eight, nine years and three or four offensive coordinators later and we are still making excuses for him. It's been five years. I've seen all I need to see. He can be an elite qb but just not often enough. He lays way too many eggs for me. Trade him to the jets for Tebow and comartie.
