    I was waiting for that.

So the same people who want to take away people's 2nd Amendment rights should have no problem aboloshing Free Speech 1st Amendment rights either. That would apply to you on this board as well.

Just as most people agree with reasonable restrictions on rights some of the anti-gun people want to go to far, IMO.

I have no problem with gun ownership. But you don't need a semi auto to defend your home unless your selling drugs in the hood.

Your ignorance of firearms is revealed by your statement.

Supporters of Anonymous, a subversive community of digital activists and internet trolls, appear to have taken down the extremist group’s website, most likely through a distributed denial of service, or DDoS attack. They also posted a YouTube video threatening to “destroy” the group.

OK isn't all of this hate, wanting bad to happen to them and threats directed at that group pretty much the same thing as what they do? Are we more justified in our feelings about them?

    Just asking, just wondering.

How? Posting their names and addresses? Messing with some internet sites? Ooh maybe they will ring their doorbell and run away!

Who cares? Just the antics of self-aggrandized internet kids.

Who gets to make that decision? They may feel the same way.

    Darn hat mongers.

This isn't going to screw up anyone's life. It's the equivalent of the ding-dong ditch.

Okay you have no problem with gun ownership but who are you, or anyone else, to determine what kind of firearm I use to defend my family and home? If I am most comfortable and competent with a Colt Mod. 1911 (which is a sem-auto pistol) who are others to say what I should use? And I am not "selling drugs in the hood" but even the best neighborhoods have breakins.

Would you have people use muzzel loaders? Civil war soldiers got up to 3 shots a minute if they were good. Let's see, how far could that intruder, or intruders, get towards me and my family in a minute while inside my house?

So you would have no problem with someone using an extremely powerful .454 Casull or 44 Magnum revolver (key point is it is not semi-auto) to defend their home in a townhouse with paper thin walls but would object to someone using a semi-auto 25 caliber (which is one of the weakest cartriges out there) in a single home with block and brick walls.

The term semi-auto is too broad to use as the only criterion to strictly regulate and too many people are too ignorant of firearms to make decisions for others based on the users needs, situation, and comfort level.
