As to what I expect from rooting for my home team Ravens and what I will take, I expect a 100% effort to be competitive and to be constantly battling to win, ideally to the point of winning the Super Bowl. But a full season of exciting, winning football by athletes I admire will be enough. What we're getting right now is not, even if the Ravens back into the playoffs.

The level of injuries on the defense is staggering. The fact that the replacement for our (reputed) leader and best player is out injured, and he's only one of many, is hard to overcome. What we needed from our offense against the Broncos was lots of points and lots of time of possession to keep Manning off the field, and we couldn't even get first downs amid several costly turnovers. The team in general looks lost, and that is not acceptable. I wish they weren't in the playoffs so they could immediately start looking to the future.
