    Default These Radio Announcers

I love it when I hear their They get on their high horses, knock anyone who has a different opinion then they do and think their words are gospel. Well today I heard one of these frustrated jocks say the fan who pays good money to go to the games, well these fans should not boo Joe or John. That the fan is just stupid and have no knowledge of the game. Well I beg to differ . These fans at the game for the most part have season tickets. Have been loyal to the Ravens for many years and probably in my opinion have more rights to boo than they have to second guess. Get over it guys, you are only giving your opinion. If you were really that knowledgable on football you would be coaching in the pros and not the high schools.

You must have been listening to the WBAL post game show. I especially liked the part where he told the listener with a different viewpoint to go ahead and state his case and then after three words were said, jumped all over him and wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise before hanging up and cutting him off.

The talk shows on the Sirius NFL channel are SO much better than any local radio hack we have here.

While making no attempt to defend any radio talk show host (I actually enjoy listening to them in general, but I have no expectations that they do anything to elevate the level of discourse) I tend to agree with them preferring not to hear fans booing their own team. To me it just heaps more negativity on an already negative situation. I do agree, though, that fans have every right to do it, just as other fans have a right not to like it.

Let's face it, the Ravens suck right now; it's just a matter of how you choose to express it.

I'm not disagreeing with that Steve. My problem with the BAL post game show is the bully aspect of the hosts. If someone disagrees with them they interrupt, say the same thing louder, and then cut them off. I guess bullying is all they have. Insight certainly isn't

Does rolling my eyes and mocking them count as booing?

No. I express my displeasure in different ways -- like getting quiet when I would normally be yelling as loud as I can when the D is on the field, etc..

The people who boo are kind of like my dog when she drops a toy off of the bed. She sits there and barks at it. That's just not going to get it done. I normally laugh, shake my head, and tell her to bark louder.

So if you boo the home team, next time boo louder. It's the only way.

You are talking about a fan base that happily cheered when it's own quarterback got hurt.

    Good point.

That was the only home game I have ever left early. I was mad and afraid I might end up in a fight. Truly classless, IMO.

I was there and felt the same way. Actually started a thread about it right on here.

Equally as pathetic was the goons calling sports talk radio the next bragging about it and patting themselves on their back like they did something to be proud of.
