1. He has a horrible track record with his coordinators.
2. He does nothing discernibly constructive during games on the sideline.
3. He has shown no improvement over the course of 5 years when it comes to fixing problems. He repeats the same problems, and the same "solutions" (i.e. we need to fix/we're working on fixing/we're going to fix", etc.) yet keeps having the same problems over and over again. The Ravens are at the top of the most penalized teams in the NFL. That shows an undisciplined nature, and that's coaching. Harbaugh ROUTINELY gets out coached WAY more than he ever outcoaches anyone else.
To me, this all adds up to a bad head coach.
Your mileage may, of course, differ. As may your opinion.
Absolutely- no one should be safe
Didn't we get rid of Trent Dilfer after he "managed" a Super Bowl win????
What's Elvis Grbac doing? Perhaps he'd like the job?
Seriously, and speaking of Dilfer, Joe Flacco could learn a few things from Trent!!!!
Seems like every NFL team has a ton of starting players injured.
What does the NFL think will happen to the injury list, when the schedule is increased to 18 games?
I didn't realize you were on the sidelines for every game, so I'll defer to you on that one. you might want to provide some insight and may be even some proof about this assertion...the man only wains about 70% of the time...
would you prefer a coach who throws his players and staff under the bus? he stands up there and tells the truth (as boring or repetitive as it sounds). Would you prefer that he said "we are fine, this was just a blip and any minute I'll unleach hell)....
penalties..hmmm..let's see...2008, 27th most penalized with 6.5 penalties per game (down from 6.7 in 2007) , 2009 28th with 6.9, 2010 10th!! with 5.4, 2011 8th! with 5.4!-- that right there shows a total a lack of discipline...to move into the category of being one of the least penalized is unacceptable...this year they are 29th, so some regression but to say they lack discipline is just slightly out of line with reality...if you really want to drill down, you need to look at each penalty by type....
using your line of thinking, they should have been a 14-16 win team every year during his tenure since he is so badly outcoached...9-7, 11-5, 12-4, 12-4 shows he's been terribly outcoached...hell, the decision to make Evans drop the ball in NE was a stroke of genious by Belichick...that's the kind of mind games/outcoaching that is sorely needed here...
your perceptions don't match the reality....and as always, we'll agree to disagree...but try to support you position with some type of facts....
2. Mattison sucked and was politely asked to leave.
3. Rossburg sucks, IMO.
4. Moeller sucks, IMO.
5. Pees sucks, IMO.
6. Hoestler is poor, IMO.
That's the track record to which I'm referring. And yes, in a 5 year career, I'd say that's about as bad as it gets.
How is Harbaugh being fired going to help the team. He doesn't coach the offense and he doesn't coach the defense. Usually a head coach will be either an offensive or defensive expert. Harbaugh is neither. You can get a new offensvie and defensive coordinator next year and the team could improve.
But perhaps it isn't the coach but it is the players.. Last year they seemed to avoid a lot of injuries. this year there are a ton. they lost some guys on defense and a top guard during the offseason. Draft picks haven't panned out.
The next coach (or quarterback) always looks better than the current one.
Pees is operating with one arm tied behind his back...really, who do you think can do better with this decimated defense? you are being unreasonable...
rossburg..really? what, not enough Kick Off returns for TDs? not enough touchbacks? not tracking here....special team breakdowns are few...the redskins game comes to minds, as does rossburg's running on the field to trip considine on a fake...
moeller has got to go...
hoestler...I guess Smith's improvement does not count...otherwise, he hasn't had much to work with....
We're done, okay? Thanks.
