    Default Cecil County woman pleads guilty to embezzling $119K from elderly

    A woman accused of embezzling more than $119,000 from two elderly customers ― ages 93 and 87 ― while employed at a Rising Sun bank is facing up to 30 years in prison after accepting a plea deal on Friday.

    Amanda Nicole Garrant, 25, of the unit block of Ayers Drive in Rising Sun, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft scheme of more than $10,000 and less than $100,000 during the Cecil County Circuit Court hearing.

    lol did she think that no one would notice her depositing the funds directly into her own acct? guess she was too busy 'leading the way'

    Give her the full 30. I don't know how people can prey on the elderly.

    Why not, thousands of thugs draining the taxpayers' wallets every year, not to mention their "free" <read: taxpayer-funded> health and dental care. But, 30 years is a bit of a stretch. 10 years but every dime must be paid back.
