Default Fort Washington man shot by invaders who demanded cash, jewelry

Used to be a nice area. Now, not so much.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — Prince George’s County police say a homeowner was shot by invaders in Fort Washington.

Police say multiple people entered the home around 2 a.m. Tuesday and demanded money and jewelry. A male resident confronted them, and he was shot in the back.

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The robbers fled the scene. No arrests have been made.

That area went down the ****er in the late 70's. At one time it was a fairly upscale neighborhood.

Was that before or after G Gordon Liddy moved there?

You tell me, is there a part of late 70's you didn't grasp?

I am not sure what year in the 70's G Gordan Liddy moved to the Fort Foote area of Ft Washington, which is what I assume you are talking about. With the addition of the Harbor the area is getting better (although the Harbor is in the 20745 zip). Now if you where talking about the whole of the 20744 zip I disagree with your assessment as a former resident of the area up until 1999.
