Default Caroline Co woman charged with murder in fathers death

    Such a disturbing story!

RIDGELY -- Maryland State Police arrested a Ridgely woman after she allegedly killed her father inside their Ridgely home Monday evening.

Janice C. Cohee, 58, of 12316 Ridgely Road, was charged early Tuesday morning with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, manslaughter and reckless endangerment. She is being held at the Caroline County Detention Center without bond.

According to Maryland State Police, the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office received a 911-call at about 6 p.m. Monday from Janice Cohee who said her father, Arthur Cohee, 90, was dead. MSP said deputies responded to the home at 12316 Ridgely Road and found Janice Cohee sitting outside and Arthur Cohee in a chair in the kitchen with trauma to his head and neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Your own elderly father? What type of nutcase?
    Disgusting

State police say a man was found dead in his Ridgely home on his 90th birthday, and his 58-year-old daughter has been charged with murder.

Police say Janice Cohee told troopers Monday evening that her father had been killed by two intruders. But police say she provided conflicting information, and her account didn't match evidence found in the scene.

Sounds like a dangerous place. According to statistics provided by the FBI, that figure would indicate that 25-30% of all murders that took place in the US in 2009 (17K), 2010 (14.5K) and 2011 (13.8K) happened in Caroline County, Maryland. That seems a bit high.
