How hard is it to NEVER point a weapon in the area near people?

Pretty easy. I managed to do it for three whole years when I was in the army. never once pointed a weapon at anyone or anything I didn't intend to shoot. Usually straight up or straight down is your best bet.

Every potential gun owner should have to be given a written & practical exam before owning a gun just like car owners. Mistakes are greatly reduced when people are actually more informed about the equipment they use...........

How informed do you need to be to know that it's not a good idea to point a gun at yourself and pull the trigger? Let's face it, there's only one cure for that kind of stupidity and that guy has been healed forever.
