    Default Playoff Question

If Pittsburgh beats the Bengals but somehow lost to the Browns would Baltimore intentionally lose to the Bengals the last game? Thus keeping Pitt out of the playoffs.

I wasn't thinking that they would. I guess I should rephrase and say "Would you recommend losing to the Bengals and keeping Pitt out"

Real professionals wouldn't worry about another team playing another team in another city. They'd play to win.

It would only give Goodall more incentive to add 2-4 playoff teams.

If the Ravens are losing on purpose to avoid a team then they should just pack up and go home now.

No NFL team would ever do what you asked. Isn't that what those Chinese badmitton teams got caught doing? Shameful.

The Ravens will sit many of their starters if the Bengirls lose this week or Ravens beat the Giants.

Terrible decision. The Ravens have zero momentum going into the playoffs and they need to use the two last games to right the ship.

But do you want to risk injury if you have already clinched the division?

Assuming many of the team's problems are execution vs. schemes/playcalling and etc., yes. They need all the work they can get to improve.

Not correct. If the Steelers or Bengals win out and Baltimore loses out the Steelers or Bengals win the Division.

    ========================================
No. 6 seed: Cincinnati Bengals (8-6) — at Steelers (7-7), vs. Ravens (9-5)

The Bengals can punch their postseason ticket in Week 16 if they win. Cincinnati also could still swipe the AFC North with a 2-0 finish and 0-2 finish from Baltimore, both of which would require a Week 17 Bengals win over the Ravens. A loss in Pittsburgh would be a devastating blow for the Bengals — they would need a win over Baltimore and a Cleveland upset of Pittsburgh. Likelihood of making the playoffs (out of 10): 6

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-7) — vs. Bengals (8-6), vs. Browns (5-9)

The Steelers’ situation is simple: win out and they’re in — and in as division champs if they, the Bengals and Ravens all finish at 9-7. The Steelers would be eliminated with a Week 16 loss; they could finish 1-1 with a Week 17 loss and sneak in at 8-8, but only if the Bengals also lose in Week 17. Likelihood of making the playoffs (out of 10): 6

Just heard this morning that if the Ravens - Steelers - Bengals all end up with 9 - 7 record the Steelers win the division.

Of course it's correct, you just read it wrong.

What part of "or Ravens beat the Giants" isn't clear to you?

Balt only needs to win one game to clinch the division.

The question is: Why are you afraid of the Steelers ? They are as bad as we are.

Look again at the post you quoted when you made your post, Buford.

Your rebuttal to the post you quoted began with "Not correct"

Now tell us what in the post you quoted was "not correct."

I see the game. Take your stupid insults and shove them somewhere. Typical grade school nonsense.
