Well again if you look at the data what jumps out is the big variation in suburbs/urban areas where rural ownership is similar between the parties. Presumably hunting is more common in rural areas and is universally popular. I normally would agree that party affiliation is not the driver, but the trend among Dem voters is especially hard to explain ignoring that variable.

Silver nailed the Electoral college numbers

He was off a bit on the popular vote margin although I don't think anyone predicted that Obama would get 51% and Romney wouldn't get more than 47%.

pretty sure this only applies to legal "ownership" ........

the cities are full of democrat gun "owners" ......
The article clearly states the data is derived from exit polls.

And if you are suggesting guns find their way into hands if people who shouldn't have them, you are right. Our laws are dreadfully ineffective.

Silver bested me by a small margin.

Anyone with half a brain (which rules out all the die-hard liberals and conservatives, btw...) could have called 90% of the electoral college.

I admit that I was surprised that Obama won Florida. He performed much better than expected in Central and South Florida.

    As was I.

Thinking liberals and conservatives are damn near extinct.

    I am neither, btw.

Not everyone understands Karma and Poetic Justice well enough to predict when and how they will strike.
