He was comparing the three big entitlements to sacred cows, which they are often called. If you eat meat, you've helped slaughter a cow.

Good Lord folks, get a grip.

So I guess now it will be politically incorrect to ever say the word slaughter, or does the rule just apply to NRA members?

I hate PC! What a bunch of crap.

Nothing. Just offering a opinion on the "MC Madman" and the NRA.

    This whole thread is ridiculous.

Ted Nugent is a rock musician who has made his living by projecting the image of being a wild and crazy guitar god. He enjoyed quite a bit of popularity in the 70's by projecting himself in that persona on both record and stage. Age and the changing landscape of music have made that impossible for him to attain at this point. His political views are that of a radical conservative who holds the second amendment above all others. It is interesting that his use of the term "slaughter" is being condemned as the use of a violent term when it was applied to social programs and not to any individuals. Yet there was no outrage when the President of the United States used the phrase "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun." The same president who is now reacting to the tragedy in Connecticut by calling for more gun restrictions. A different standard, applied to different people I suppose. Missed in all of this is that what Nugent was talking about is probably not that far off the mark. The country is trillions of dollars in debt, and part of the problem is the entitlement programs that keep growing and growing year by year. Until somebody begins to realize that the entitlement programs are not sustainable, the country will have no hope of ever getting out from the debt that it is in right now. So we can keep debating the language being used, or we can start debating the more important things such as how we intend to pay for all of this.

I'm shocked, shocked that Ted Nugent would say something provocative.

Look, Nugent always says something to draw attention to himself. It would be more newsworthy for Nugent to speak on any subject and not say something outrageous. News at 11 - Ted Nugent speaks and offends not one person.

Maybe not if one views him through the prism of his target audience?

LOL. Yeah, like that will ever happen. It amazes me that people don't realize what Nugent is about and why he says what he says. It's the same way with Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh. They make statements designed to get their names in the news, and then the newsmedia gives them exactly what they want. The funny thing is, Nugent only used a common word in the english language to describe what he thinks should be done to programs, not people. It would have been more Nugent like if he had said all liberals should be slaughtered. That would have been more his speed!

At least Discovery had the sense to immediately cancel Ted Nugent's Gun Country ~ but that too was probably out of concern after the latest massacre of innocents.
'Oh noes!!! Words or Wurdz and stuffs!' Great post or poast, Omar.

In any event it is well past time to slaughter this here can of innocent Diet Dr. Pepper. It appears to be a high capacity container that is sure to assault my thirst.

Actually, that depends on your criteria for rating him as a rock star. If the criteria is your opinion of his music, then that is a valid statement. If the criteria is sales of his albums and tours, then it is not. In the mid to late 70's, Ted Nugent was one of the top grossing rock acts for several years. Now he would definitely be considered a marginal and opening rock act at best.

Maybe so, but I find that he is no more foolish and a lot less dangerous than people like Mayor Bloomberg of NY. Nugent simply states his beliefs, as radical as they may be. Bloomberg takes his radical opinions and has the power to make them become law. What he doesn't like, he makes law so that everyone has to follow his radical views. Luckily, Nugent is not now nor will ever likely be in a position that he can impose his radical views on everyone by way of law!

I personally don't care what a washed up musician has to say, but on this one, I'm not sure what your point is. Cows get slaughtered and he said this before Sandy Hook.

We can go find stupid crap said by the anti gun crowd as well. With well over 300M people in the country, you can pretty much find an idiot on either side to make your point, whcih in this case, I'm having a hard time understanding.

It looks as though the wheels are coming off the Nugent bus, and not a moment too soon.

Apparently Ted lost his temper while being questioned by a CBS reporter who pointed out the plain-as-day fact that Nugent is not a political moderate:

“Call me when you sit down across from someone who has more families with dying little boys and girls who get a call to take them on their last fishing trip in life!” an enraged Nugent screamed. “Call me when you meet someone who does that more than I do because that’s really moderate! In fact, you know what that is? That’s extreme! I’m an extremely loving, passionate man! And people who investigate me honestly — without the baggage of political correctness — ascertain the conclusion that I’m a damn nice guy! And if you can find a screening process more powerful than that, I’ll suck your ****ing dick!”

“Or **** you!” he said, turning to Glor’s female producer. “How’s that sound?”

The man is seriously losing his mind. We all knew he was a vile, pathetic human being, but now the seething hate and anger can no longer be concealed from the public.

Default Ted Nugent Blames Murders On Spiritually Bankrupt, PC Society

Conservative rocker Ted Nugent believes the Newtown, Conn., shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School is the result of pervasive "spiritual bankruptcy" and a "politically correct" mentality in American culture.

Nugent penned a response to the Sandy Hook shooting, which left six school employees and 20 children dead, in an editorial for The Washington Times. In the piece, Nugent shifts blame from lax gun control, poor mental health programs, inadequate security at schools and violence in the media to the moral decay of society.

That ~ from someone with his background ~ talking about moral decay and spiritual bankruptcy.

He would do well to examine his own “exemplary” efforts taken to avoid the draft, and the scandals in his own life. Or maybe write a few more lyrical masterpieces like “Wang Dang Sweet ******ng” or “Wango Tango” for all of his conservative supporters like the Moonie newspaper, and Republican candidates like Mitt, or the ones who want him to run for office.

They are so insensitive to have named their town that 331 years ago, what with that mass shooting in Connecticut last week and all.
