Default In Memory of Ron Smith

It's hard to believe it's been a year since Ron Smith passed away (Dec 19, 2011).
I think C4 does an admirable job in his place but I must admit there are some fleeting moments where I turn on the radio and hope to hear his voice. His was so interesting to listen to because he always had excellent guest and could talk to the people in a way that was easy to understand. He had a broad specrum of knowledge but he never came across as a "smart pants", and he always enjoyed learning from his listeners as well.

It's hard to believe that one station (well 2 that are one in the same) 98Rock/1090AM had radio icons like Ron Smith and Lopez - two of the the best radio personalities of all-time right here in Baltimore.

Ron was one of the few conservatives that thought invading Iraq for WMDs was bogus and wasn't afraid to say it. I always respected him for that.

    I agree.

Ron was a really good talk show host. I enjoy hearing from Ron's widow, June, when she calls C4. She shares Rons wisdom and keen sense of humor.

C4, while I like him, isn't in the same league as Ron Smith. And BK, I agree with you.

C4 is enjoyable to listen to buy Ron was more in depth and had a wry sense of humor.

I miss Allen Prell, especially his Uncle Allie character this time of year.
