LOL, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! He always had the drunken Teddy Kennedy broken capillary look about him. Between this and Michael Moores bodyguard being busted for carrying illegally some time ago they should rot in jail together.

The golden balls award goes to the cop that arrested him. I bet he has been driven home in the past.

If convicted, I hope the punishment is severe. About 30 people a day are murdered in this country by drunk drivers. The filthy drunk bastards cause about one-third of all traffic fatalities.

Legendary newscaster Sam Donaldson was stopped on December 1 at 8:20 p.m. for a traffic violation in Lewes, Delaware, RumorFix has confirmed.
Police tell RumorFix they suspected that the former ABC News man was drinking alcohol during the routine traffic stop. They gave him a field sobriety test and arrested him for DUI. After completing the Intoxilyzer test, the 78-year-old was released. He’s due in court on Friday.
Since they treat DUI as a traffic violation in Delaware, no mug shot is taken.
A DUI conviction could result in six months in jail, license suspension, drunk driving classes and a fine of up to $1,500.

Will ABC claim it was a VRWC?
