A lot of blame to go around

People are quick to jump on Flacco during the Raven's recent slide, but I believe that the blame should be placed elsewhere. Joe is an average QB who wasn't developed by coaches paid good money to do so.
1. Cam's inability to improve Joe's QB play.
2. Harbaugh's inability to hold Cam accountable.
3. Ozzie's inability to fix problem within roster. Now here me out. We all give Ozzie a pass, because of excellent draft's in the past, but his magic is fading. He never addressed (in 3 years) poor left tackle play, Mckinny was a band aide. He kept Ed Reed 2 years too long, but got rid of 2 safeties who were better and cheaper. Ray's replacement plan, where has it been? A lot of early round bust's: Cody, Smith, Dixon, amoung a few others.
4. Whoever fired Cam, owner or coach. This should have been done in the off season and not mid-stream. I like Caldwell, but this was too late in the season.

I guess it's easier to boo the guy who is on the field, but he might be doing as much as he can.

I've been saying this not only this year, but for several years now. So has Frank and some other posters. (In the past, IIRC, TDL was very vocal about the O-line problems.) To just dump all the blame on Joe is insane, IMO.

That is another thing, the receivers need to stop getting manhandled early in their routes. they need to get open faster, as Flacco has aboe 2 seconds to throw the ball due to the piss poor line play.

So where is Hoestler coaching these guys up on HOW to do that?

Better running routes would help to open up the play-action. Stop trying to jam Ray Rice up the middle all the time to get 2 yards or less. With this O-line it just isn't happening. They have better success running diagonal patterns.

And I think some people don't realize what happens when the Ravens run the hurry up offense. It keeps opposing D's in their BASE package. It prevents them from countering what's going on with the offense. It gives the advantage clearly to the offense. Yet the Ravens fail to run it enough to help out the weaknesses on their offense -- the poor line, the inability of the WRs to get open, etc.

There's a ton of blame go around both offensively and defensively. When I look at this team's weaknesses, it's amazing to me that they're 9-5. Talent wise, they probably should be 6-8 or 7-7. There's so many holes to fix on defense, I don't even know where I'd begin if I was GM. They need help everywhere. It's better news on offense once they get that line restructured in the off season. People keep harping on McKennie but it's a foregone conclusion(as long as there isn't additonal injuries) that he's in Harbaugh's cement box for the duration of this year. Why they're even wasting roster space with him is beyond me. But they HAVE to address a problem that's been on going since Flacco got here and that's pass protection. It's never been good and keeps getting worse. It's a testament to Flacco's toughness that he's never missed games because the guy has taken a pounding every year. Oher should have been fined last week by the team for blatantly allowing Flacco to be hit and sacked on the final two plays. So yes, there's a lot of blame to go around and the Ravens are looking at a tumultuous spring and early summer, trying to right a ship that's sinking fast.
