I always forget about the library. We have a brand new one and it's huge. If you hadn't posted this, I wouldn't have remembered what's in my own back yard.

In the end we all have our beliefs and truly like to make our side sound the best. At this time in my own life I am content in my faith.

I know it's hard for some people to fathom, but one can be personally opposed to same-sex marriage without wanting to ban it, just as one can be personally opposed to the teachings of other religions without wanting to ban them.

A front-page article in l’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican newspaper, likens marriage equality to 20th-century communism, reports the Religion News Service, saying it is equal to “the egalitarian utopia that did so much damage during the 20th Century . . . deceiving humanity as socialism did in the past.”

I borrowed the book and read a few chapters. As an amteur history buff, I found it very interesting and informative.

To rephrase - Whether it's the Church, or my wife (or whomever)...if I can't trust them to be completely honest, and in the Church's case, ritcheous/honorable, how can I embrace their message? How? I can excuse some indiscretions, some mistakes, some sins....but given the magnitude and frequency of sins from the Catholic Church, it's hard to take them seriously.
