No, did I say that? I asked a question. If you don't have an answer then you are wasting your and my time posting nonsense.

Ah yes, Columbine, when "assault weapons" were banned.

    Feel good legislation, did nothing.

As I said before - complicated problem that will require a mult-faceted approach.

Ever visited a suburban elementary school? Extremely easy to just walk in. First thing I would do (if here was money), would be to make physical/structural changes to make it much harder for an outside to get in.

I have no problems giving mace and/or stun guns to teachers for their defense. But nothing lethal. I have both mace and a stun gun at home, and based on demonstrations I have seen, either is capable of disabling an armed perp.

Then, of cousrse, there's the whole mental health issue....which will take a lot of time and money to change.

There was an armed guard present. An armed teacher would have made no difference, either.

Element of surprise trumps tour assault weapon every day of the week. In fact, if one has the element of surprise on a person carrying n assault weapon, don't need a gun to neutralize.

    Here's what you said:

You would never allow guns in schools. Ever.

Do you suffer from "mom" syndrome?

As I already clarified in post #36, I wouldn't allow for teachers, administrators or students.

I ALSO said, that guns already exist in some schools, via security guards. Columbine, being one of those schools. Did no good.

Sometimes when asked for clarification it is because you are not always clear slapshot. Keep the personal attacks out of your responses.

One simply needs to learn to read the posts that are in front of you.

Moderators should not be allowed to post opinions...period.

You are entitled to your opinion. The question of whether or not we are allowed to post our opinions has been asked of TA and answered.

Do you think I am done with this issue?

    Not a chance.

I was just asking for clarification of your rather absolutist statement.

I guess you can't read. I said I didn't believe Barry set it up and I don't know anybody here or anywhere who does.

Read what I said again and this time think if that is possible. I was criticizing the stereotyping by some lefties here that find some nutcase and ascribe their beliefs to anyone right of Lenin.

Give the BSer a break. Probably still suffering PTSD from his alleged tour in Vietnam as an alleged Medical Officer. Would not be surprised if he turned into another Lanza, if his mommy ever lets him out of the basement.
