I don't think Davis will hold up at 1b and they still have a hole at 2b which they still need

I didn't say that I disagreed with you I was just opining on what I think the Front Office and Buck Showalter thinks.

It seems pretty apparent to me that First Base is for Davis to lose and that if they go outside of the organisation for a replacement then it will be during the season and not before the season.

2nd base will be Roberts to lose and as many as 3 players will be given the opportunity at 2nd base before they go outside of the organisation.

That only leaves DH and I think they are of the opinion that will be a platoon position from players already on the books unless they can prise a Billy Butler type of impact player lose that is primarily a DH but adequate in the field via a trade.

Nice try but you've got it slightly wrong. Here you go -

    1st Boston (91-71)
    2nd NY (89-73)
    3rd Tampa (87-75)
    4th O's (84-78)
    5th Toronto (72-90)

They are trying to reduce their payroll and being a little smarter with their signings but they are not in a rebuilding mode. They fully expect to contend and win this coming season.

Sounds pretty similar to when Orioles fans on here make up ridiculous trade scenarios where the O’s get the best player out of the deal while giving up garbage!!

I smell a bet, what do you want to wager that the Yankees finish ahead of the O’s and in the playoffs??

I only saw one offer to bet last year and that was with slidemaster. Because of his woeful prediction (compared to my excellent one), the Wounded Warrior Project was the beneficiary.

What was your offer? I definitely would have taken your money as well.

Here's free advice for 2013 O's record: 84-78 and no playoffs.

    Happy New Year.

Bullsht. I offered a wager for either you or I to leave the board upon losing, you declined

How ironic to critique a rumor when the O's purported trade piece is Hardy. What stud did we lose when he got brought in? Hoey? Jacobson?

Nowadays, smart guys like you should see how crazy trades can become.

What kind of bet are you looking for??

I KNOW the Yankees will not be in last place and I’m pretty sure the orioles will have a BIG drop off from last season.

You seem to be absolutely sure that the Yankees will finish in last, so what is your wager??

Was the wager on wins and losses for the year? If so, you would have been a woeful loser with your horribly inaccurate prediction of 65 wins. My prediction, as you may have heard, was the most accurate of all the predictions.

In any case, I wouldn't want anyone to leave the board, even those who have difficulty with predictions. You can benefit from the board and that's all to the good.
