Besides, your dear leader would not like anyone talking about the pros of sending more manufacturers overseas where cheap labor is when he is fighting to bring it back.

China will continue to feed the US it's dollar addiction until the dollar bubble blows! No need to fight our military.

"A new 36,000-ton cruise ship modified for military purposes, the Bahai Sea Green Pearl, can carry more than 2,000 soldiers and 300 vehicles. With its new naval muscle, China has dispatched troops and police to U.N. peacekeeping operations in places as far-flung as Africa and Latin America.

All paid for thanks to US markets.

We seem to be sitting on a huge reserve of NG here. We should be putting all efforts forward to exploit our own resources while at the same time looking for alternatives.

Democrats would rather send US troops to foreign countries than use our own abundance of resources that could provide more jobs to Americans.

    Warlords? Which countries?

That is the plan, but with Russia becoming the top oil and gas exporter and China having such a need it is in The United States interest that we be the partner of choice for most African countries rather than the Russians and Chinese. Nothing more nothing less. Makes sense to me.

And how do suggest they get supported and supplied once this ship gets anywhere?

Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Kenya take your pick. Incessant civil wars with millions, murdered or starved, children still dying of whooping cough and polio despite innoculations being available for decades. Which Country on that Continent would you like to live in?

Iraq by Bush bad. Afghanistan, at least last four years and approx. 1600 dead under Obama, good. Now military intervention in Africa by Obama good. As long as it is your guy putting servicemen and women in harms way for imperialist reasons no problem.

Both Iraq and Afghanistan were bad because we should have been in and out of Afghanistan in 3 months, a year tops! And Obama definitely screwed up in Afghanistan by listening to his generals. Hopefully that is why Hagel will be taking over. A Sergeant with sense beats a General with none, every time!

As for Africa, it is not a military intervention, it is a security partner of choice!

3 months should have been enough given we could just about spit on Bin Laden.
