(And it DOES sound as if there are some real consequences of next week's game, so they really can't rest the starters I wouldn't think.)
According to ESPN's playoff predictor, Bengals are locked into the #6 seed so the #3 gets them. The #5 and #6 seeds are set. The #1, #2 and #3 could all switch depending on next week. Ravens could get to #3, but no higher. #3 vs. Bengals, #4 vs. Colts two weeks from now.

If you have a chance at the #3, and the #4 would be the Patriots... you have to play the starters until it's out of the question. If you win that first home game, then you're one stolen road win away from VERY possibly hosting an AFC title game. Nobody would be surprised by the Pats winning at home in week one, and winning on the road in week two (whether it's @HOU or @DEN).

Good win vs an uninterested team. The ravens are going too be a tough out because of their experience. The bengirls are going to rest their players next week too so sit your starters for a half and take your chances with the colts. Historically a bad matchup due to their DE's but the ravens will be favorites.

Thanks. Pittsburgh should get better picks this year. I have no doubt they will be fighting again next year.

I wonder if the Steelers are going to keep Haley.

    thank you sir

I was reading the ESPN Cincy/Pitt game conversation board. I could not believe how many people were throwing Tomlin and.......Ben under the bus.

    Surprised me

    Your take ?

One word, momentum. I've thought hard about this and because of the 3 losses in a row and the change at offensive coordinator the Ravens need to continue to feel good about themselves. Being healthy is important but a win on the road against a division rival would go a long way to building some important momentum going into the playoffs.

I would rather they rest all our starters. I would hate for Rice or Flacco to get injured in a meanless game.

When you lose to the Chargers, Raiders, Titans and Browns you're simply just not a very good team. The same people who are calling for Tomlins head are probably the same ones who wanted LeBeau fired after week three.
With that said I don't think this was one of coach Tomlins better seasons. Being out coached by Norv "lame duck" Turner at Heinze Field was painful to watch. I still like Tomlin and look to see the Steelers rebound with a better effort next season.

Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the pros.
That team right now is just not that good.
They put up the stats, but the playing style is out of date, with all of the NFL rule changes.

Still, their FO is great at evaluating talent, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them come back to the playoffs next year.
