OP didn't link insanity, he linked the mentally ill. I don't necessarily consider people with OCD issues insane. Of all the mentally ill people, probably much less than 0.0014 percent turn out to be mass murders. According to one poster here, when that amount is applied to guns "lost" from dealers' inventories, that's no big deal. The beltway sniper you mentioned who was black I believe also wasn't determined to be insane (unless we're giving the death penalty to insane people now [in places other than Texas]). That's two "stereotypes" he goes against.

Still complaining about 1.4 one thousandths of one percent, I see. Show me any other business that is that good with their record keeping. As I said before, the ATFE lumps all of those purchases into one whether the gun is truly unaccountable or if its just one piece of the paperwork is missing.
