When I remember the pounding that QBs of the past took: Unitas, Starr, Connerly, Tittle, etc and look at how QBs are protected today I can only wonder how much longer those old guys would have lasted and the kind of records they could have finished with.

Some more STATS that prove how awesome Griffin is:

Pinpoint precision. The Cowboys can't count on Robert Griffin III and the Redskins to help them out in the turnover department, either. Washington's 14 turnovers are the fewest in the league this year. Further, Griffin is one of the most accurate passers in the league, according to ESPN Stats & Information, completing a league-high 50.0 percent of his passes on throws 20 or more yards downfield. Stats & Info also reports that only 13.9 percent of Griffin's passes have been incomplete because of being underthrown or overthrown, the third-lowest figure in the league, and that only three of his five interceptions have been as a result of an off-target pass.
Yep, he's simply an awesome passer who can also run like the wind. Vick couldn't carry this kid's jock (he'd probably fumble it).

FYI oh clueless Squeeler fan, I have never crucified any NFL QB for going down to avoid a sack. It is the only prudent thing to do. Your own QB ought to learn to do a better job of it as well. Apparently you are another goober who either doesn't watch the games or has no clue what he is seeing.
These two losers have been here for around a decade, their obsession won't end any time soon.

It's been fun abusing the Danny defender but it looks like they do finally have a qb...a cornball Brother, but a good qb.

Just be glad hail doesn't brag about how much he can bench press any more.

    Ode to the Deadskins

    Hail to the Deadskins,
    No Victory,
    VickJr is their quarterback,
    But they call him RGIII

    Hail to the Deadskins
    No Victory
    Don't take Ware for granted
    Or VickJr will be planted

    Hail to the Deadskins
    No Victory,
    Shanahan's only options,
    Punt or go for three.

Ha! Says the fan of a team with a racial slur for a name! Rich.

Are you on the Notre Dame bandwagon? I remember you kicking it around a few years back when they had one good season...didn't your uncle neighbors cat go there or something? I remember it was a reach even for you?

Yeah, he throws out that accusation towards anyone who disagrees with him. Despite the fact I have posted London Fletcher, and Pierre Garcon are the two best players on his team, and are of the same race as his starting QB.

Nor, nevermind that Ray Lewis is my favorite Raven and Ed Reed my second favorite with Flacco third and Rice fourth.

You know he is losing an argument when he has to resort to this sorry and totally unfounded accusation. Its not even a cheap shot. Its a blatant lie.

His sole existence here is as an irritant to 98% of us normal folks who post here. No other reason. He hates the Orioles and Ravens yet hangs out here calling anyone a "hater" or "racist" who doesn't agree with his ramblings about players few, if anyone here even cares one iota about. Yet to him, we Baltimore fans are the problem, never anything he does. Lunatic is how I would describe someone like that.

You are so right. I have often wondered the same thing. Another thing back then guys knew how to wrap up and tackle. You never saw so many missed tackles then as you do now.

Good job ignoring those stats again. They probably make your little brain hurt, Hadley.

None of his stats amount to squat unless or until he gets his team to the playoffs and wins a game or to. Just ask Matt Ryan or Drew Brees son.

    Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees?

I hope there's an asterisk next to Marino's bust in the hall of fame that reads "Hadley thinks you suck unless you win".

Brees had better stats than VickJr this year, but didn't make the pro bowl because his team went no where. That is the point goober, you completely missed.

I think the goal of most fans is for their team to make the playoffs, win games in the playoffs and eventually make and win a superbowl. If you goal is to have your team obtain a HOF QB than Marino fulfilled that wish. However, I think most Miami Dolphin fans would rather have a Lombardi or two genius.

You seem to not understand that more than one player takes the field every week. That's where stats tell you that a player is great or not. I know this concept is difficult to get past your thick skull but its a fact. I don't understand how you possibly work with numbers. How do you get past the bottom line? Ha ha ha ha

How about Wilson tying Peyton Mannings rookie record for most TD passes?

I hope the Redskins beat the cowboys so we can see Wilson versus your boy head to head.

He is a little but he's an excellent passer.

This is turning into a "Jeter calls out Pavano" thread.

He does look dinged still. My son is a student at FAU and he really enjoyed seeing the success of Morris. Real stud for a rookie.

He's a beast but they better get someone to share carries next year. 300 carries will wear a guy down fast.

Yeah, his whopping 100 yards passing was just awesome. I don't think he threw a pass he completed more than 10 yards in the air.

Any QB except maybe Kyle Boller could have done what he did best that game, which was hand off to Morris. Now that kid is a a beast of a runner that I agree with you on.

Two very similar teams will match up, each with power running game and rookie QB's not playing like rookies anymore.

I had one question in watching that game and it was where your boy was running and I couldn't tell if he was finally wise enough to slide down to avoid a hit or if he simply slipped? If he would start sliding and avoiding hits he could escape the Vick comparisons. But only if he starts doing so consistently.

I do think if he would run smarter he might be okay and have a sucessful career. However, I still think Russell Wilson is better. He throws a more accurate ball and makes quicker decisions. I guess we will find out next week won't we?
