Default That was the worst officiated game I've ever seen

I've been watching football for a long time and that was the most poorly officiated game that I have ever seen. The incompetence of those buffoons took 4 points off of the board for the Ravens and then robbed the Giants of a rightful possession afterwards. How are these clowns not held accountable at all for such a pathetic performance? If i come into my job and screw up every task i'm assigned, then i'll have to answer for it. Both teams should file a grievance with the league after that pathetic display of incompetence by the officials

The Giants weren't robbed; the RAVENS were robbed! It was a FUMBLE, CLEARLY RECOVERED by the RAVENS. The subsequent fumble afterwards didn't count because by THAT point, the whistle had blown, blowing the play dead, and forbidding any advancement of the ball and that's when the fumble occurred. But the ball had clearly been recovered by Upshaw. It was another blown non-challenge by John Harbaugh.

This whole crew from the Ravens game should be fired at the end of the season! Isn't that the second time in 2 years that ref ruled the same way on the Jones TD? Obviously, he hasn't learned a thing. Can him!

I'd heard, I think from Pereira, that the crew rules the opposite way before, got reamed by the league, but that in THIS instance, a second move WAS CLEARLY made, which means that this should have been a TD, but in the previous game there WASN'T CLEARLY a second move made, which is why they got reamed out for that game. What a mess.

The officiating wasn't good but saying it was the worst officiated game in history would be a colossal stretch.

There was a lot of badness out there, but the '05 (?) game at DET was the worst. Sometimes you can tell a crew / ref gets influenced by the crowd or flow of the game, and might make a call or two that comes from being caught up in the moment (or in some instances, Tom Brady asking for it).

That crew, that entire crew, that day, got ticked off at the Ravens defense ("Rex's guys" and "Rex's attitude") and let it blatantly affect how they called the game. It was outrageously one-sided. Mike Carey should have at the very least been "disciplined".

The game earlier this year where Green Bay lost on an absolutely ridiculous call of a TD in the endzone was the worst I'd seen. But that was with the replacement refs.

we can all agree.......those refs were terrible. Even Pereira said they blew 2 calls.

I'm just glad the Ravens overcame them

That was the beauty of it! The Ravens DID overcome the bad calls and made them non factors. The second half did not start off well, but after that first drive, they settled down and took care of business. Decisively. And that takes the refs out of the game.

Well the nfl and major league baseball should switch to high tec cameras leith the rest of the world. But they don't have to be right like a are the law . The nfl wants every player to be perfect and they are proven to be stupid to the rules and what would even out the offense to defense by video calls on the penates calls from the booth. Personal oils should be apart of the challenge of the three each team have so do they want to get it right or always have to be right ,when the board caster always differ from the calls on the field

No offense. I know this is only your second post, but I no clue what point you are trying to make. Maybe you should have someone edit your posts before you publish them - at least until you are able to put a few words together on your own.

Looks to me like he/she was drunk. Mis spelled words, we all do but this was bad. I think he/she wants replays on fouls and than the refs can see if it was holding etc.

"You have to trust me on this Joe" ref said to Flacco after the TD reversal. Said he didn't see a football move.....LOL, this clown was looking at a reason to keep the game close.

We live in a world where almost nothing is obvious anymore.

A guy fumbles, no wait, we have the tuck rule.

A guy scores, no wait, no second move.

A guy recovers a fumble and scores, no wait, the fumble recovery was ok, but the play was called dead.

FG is good, no wait, the coach on other team told the ref to call time out at the one second mark.

A guy dropped the ball, no wait, the coach tossed the red flag, it was not seen in time.

It appeared to me and everyone watching the game with me (including 3 Giants fans) that the officiating crew was trying really hard to skew the game to the Giants.

    Think about it......

Giants win, it makes their game this week VERY relevant

Ravens lose, they play Cinn for the AFC North this week.

NFL has more meaningful games, they win

    T.V networks win

    Advertisers win.....

Even the Giants fans (regulars for Sunday game watching, just happened that their and my team were playing) were pointing out that after that Jones TD that was reversed, they did not go back to the "nfl official" they had on the phone analyzing the calls.
