Perhaps the firefighters should be armed...

    Merry Christmas!
Maybe we should keep people in jail who beat their 92 yr old grandmothers to death with a hammer. (Watch video for details)

"Webster, N.Y. – Webster Police have identified the gunman in Monday morning's deadly shooting as 62-year-old William Spengler.

Police say Spengler died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

One of the properties involved in Monday’s deadly fire/shooting was the scene of a crime more than 30 years ago.

According to public records, William Spengler has owned the home at 191 Lake Road for more than three decades. He was convicted of manslaughter in 1981 after he discovered his grandmother, Rose, 92, dead inside the home next door in July 1980.

Spengler spent 17 years in prison. According to state officials, he was released in 1998 and completed his parole in 2006.

Police say the house is still an active crime scene. Spengler lived at 191 Lake Road with his sister. She is still unaccounted for.

Seven houses were destroyed in Monday's fire."

17 years in prison for beating an elderly lady to death with a hammer. Yeah, he should have been hanged in the 80s. Two police officers would be alive today.

And if only his grandmother had been armed, right?

There are mnay ways the killing of these firefighters could have been avoided. Needless to say, a lack of guns couldn't be one of them.

She was 92 years old. You are one cold-hearted man.

That being the case, I would think it would be highly unlikely that the weapon or weapons he used were not registered to him..I would think there would be no way possible for him to obtain a weapon legally in this country...Yeah right....

On a side note, his sister is missing...

Right. Because we all know that murderers obtain their weapons legally.

    Thank you for that response.

That says more about your character than words normally could provide.

And on Christmas Day no less!

Too bad for the fire fighters that it wasn't a hammer.

What law that you have previously endorsed would have saved their lives?

Guess we will find out, who these guns were registered too...

I was not talking about a hammer in my post..I was talking about his firearms that he used to ambush and slaughter some unsuspecting fireman that were simply trying to do their job..

As part of his probation for bopping granny upside the head, he was probably banned from all Home Depots...

Just maybe he should have never gotten out or maybe even executed?

Too bad convicted felons don't obey laws, like the one that says convicted felons cannot possess guns.

Exactly. If he had been executed, this never would have happened. More reason to use the death penalty when it is appropriate.

This I know for certain. Had he received a just sentence in the 80s for murdering his 92 year old grandmother, he could not have murdered the two firefighters this week.

Try denying that, hst and naive.

Yeah well maybe it would have happened if the judicial system used terms like late term abortion instead of execution. That pos wasn't even convicted of murder but manslaughter, I guess the old gal kept putting her head where the hammer was striking so it was both their faults.

With the factors around this mess I doubt the leftist will make the noise they would have.
