It has to be. Detroit is the home team every year on Thanksgiving.

Could the T-day tradition be much worse than Detroit?

Default The Ravens will not play the Lions on Thanksgiving in 2013

This year, Detroit played Houston (AFC team) on Thanksgiving Day. Dallas played the Redskins (NFC team) on Thanksgiving. Both teams alternate playing AFC & NFC teams on Thanksgiving. Next year, Detroit plays a team from the NFC on Thanksgiving & Dallas will play a team from the AFC.

We sure did. I ate Thanksgiving dinner then drove the stadium. If I recall it was an unseasonably warm night and it was a great game.

It was cold as chit that night. I enjoyed it though.

The only way the Ravens get a Thanksgiving Thursday nighter is its an Playoff/AFC title rematch (see Houston, Denver or NE whom the Ravens play the first two at home and the last one on the road) or SB rematch (Packers).

I personally don't want to see that difficult a game even at home on basically 4 days rest. Going to Denver on basically no rest is basically a lost cause.

Then again 2013 can be completely different so we'll see.

I doubt they'll schedule the Ravens at home for Thanksgiving night so soon. Besides, we're always away that day, so I don't appreciate the gesture. Only two games I've ever missed were '00 CLE (Thanksgiving weekend, stomach virus hit me 5 states away) and last year (Thanksgiving night).
