I think this warrants a discussion on banning subway trains, or at least restricting the access to them.

The subways have their own police force and video surveillance

Neither of which prevents crime. The Metro police are more concerned about hitting on women than doing their job and the video cams MIGHT help catch the criminals after they've murdered someone.
